This band represent the decline of creativity in the recording industry. They represent a (sub)culture which most find irksome and banal. This awful video reflects their mundane sound and lyrical content.

Where is the esoteric value to a song (or band) like this? Where is the originality or the depth?

This music truly sums up the dumbed down, apolitical and vacuous nature of 21st century rock music. Whatever happened to the imagination?

I've heard lyrics like this so often and at the end of the day they mean nothing, they do not reflect reality or even touch upon reality in a creative way.

A good rock band (in my opinion) would be Pink Floyd. Excellent lyricists would be Cohen, Dylan, Cobain, Lennon.

This is obviously just my opinion and if people love this song then I guess it has succeeded regardless of my views!
