You've missed out a lot on this song. The chord progression changes from E, B, C#m, A to E, B, G#m, A. The riff also changes to follow the chord progression. As you missed this bit out, it made your singing sound a little unsure. Good first try though dude, keep plugging away and you'll get it.

FYI. The chord progression is correct except for one thing. E,B,c#m,A then E,B,g#m,A. Try it out it sounds better with the g#m in there. On a guitar with capo on 4th it would be C G Am F then C G Em F. Great video on GarageBand

you can turn off metrenome to remove the "ticking" sound

@fireflam2 That was actually one of the mixed drum beats. The time signature was set already so there was no need for the metronome.
