What is with the ridiculous accents? NO ONE in this group appears Hispanic. And if I were, I would probably be offended. And what is with all of shouting? "Aye carumba!" and "Boom Boom Chicka Boom!" It's just nonsense and barely sounds like singing. To me, it makes a joke out of show choir.
@llcooljay1887 I guess I just prefer the more current styles, which include less flash and more complexity in the dancing. I respect the fact that they're extremely clean - I'm in show choir and definitely understand how accomplished that is. But after going through show choir with Pike High School, I can't help but be irritated by the extravagance. What do big fans and fancy outfits matter if they don't have individual choreographic intensity?
@swhizzy I totally get what you are saying. When you look at an individual person/part, the choreography seems simple, and honestly it kinda is. But when you put the whole picture together onstage you get this amazing visual package. That's kind of the classic Indiana mantra for choreography. The fans and costumes are completely over the top, but to me that just makes it so extravagant, in the best way possible!
am i the only one who thinks this is completely pretentious? sure, it's clean, but the choreography is completely vanilla. and the amount of woo-ing is uncomfortable. the dresses are pretty but a bit of a waste, and the fan things at the end are completely unnecessary.
guys - clean the arms nice vocals the solo feels rushed guys - clean those arms this section is a little long for costume changes beautiful dresses girls ladies you have such a warm sound wonderful job switching between character and legit voices guys very mature sound a little more color contrast on stage would be nice you all blend in together bautiful sound make sure all vowels are the same for everyone very good! great number very clever and well done
