Ian and Billy have more talent than most bands could dream of. That opposites attract and balance has worked for them. If anyone thinks The Cult couldn't be as big as Guns & Roses,Metallica or Aerosmith think again. It was by Ians choice they were not. Look how hard the Gene Simmons and other bands of the world try so hard to be big etc. Try as they will they don't have the natural talent,stage presence or charisma Ian has period. Quality over quantity is a fair summary of Ian and The Cult.

Seriously, I've been trying to figure out his nationality. I know he's British, but he looks like he's got some Cherokee or American indian in him. And plus, there's been so many references to that culture in the Cult's music. Like "Wild Hearted Son."

Will...I've met Ian years ago when I lived in england (1983?)...love him ever since...he was and is crazy, arrogant and phenomenal guy! It has been more than 20 years and life shoved us in different directions but I pray for him and wish him all the best and I'm glad to see he's doing well. I know this video is for Ian but I can't ignore Billy on the guitar. If your a Billy Duffy fan, I found a sound by his other band Coloursound that is amazing. Listen to all of it because it starts out slow, lots of guitar. Its called Fade in, fade out, fade away. Post back here or there.

I saw The Cult en 1999 , tuesday night , in a discoteque in Fourt Lauderdale in Florida USA, we were at this disco called Chili Peppers , no more than 200 people , Matt Sorum in drums, oh man , what a concert .

The reason i loved your video is because i heard LOVE TROOPER for the first time , i can stop listening the song over a over again , it must be one of the few songs left for me to hear .

The band never played Love Trooper live. This song can be found on Rare Cult Box and Best of Rare Cult cd. There's a demo version of Love Trooper on Rare Cult and Rare Cult The Demo Sessions box set. Unfortunally they're were limited, but you can find it used on ebay.

Thanks for posting! Very nice pictures! I've been to a concert in Amsterdam om March 8 2008,it was one of the best days of my life. I also saw them live in 1985 when i was 16. I listen to this beautiful song every day (best of rare cult). Since there are no other postings of this song, i think that they don't play it live very often. If someone knows where i can find it, let me know!
