  • The gyro is part of the heli. It assists the rudder control, that's why it was unstable in the control and crashed.

  • It's not a gyro, it's a toy helicopter.

  • Wagging tail - Helicopter is happy

  • lol

  • I hope you have got it all set up nicely now mate and that it is flying ok.posts more vids to let us know how u r getting on mate.Good luck! Cheers Heliman85.

  • "Uh oh".....hehehehe! Priceless :-)

  • thanx for share, here is my coment :lady luck give you the chance of re-adjusting (your way too high gyro gain)and ofcourse you didn"t,however don"t feel so bad since a had crash my helis the exact same manner

  • wen ur settin up these machines, why fly so high!!!!ur own fault!

  • Yes, I supose it was, but usualy hieght is your friend, gives you more time to re act, and hey its the ground that does the damage.

The second flight I had adjusted the wrong gain and incorrectly presumed it would be better, but as I flew it ect yes It was my fault, but re building taught me a lot, so par for he course....

  • unlucky mate.

was an easy mistake to make considering you're trying to set it up on your own.

and the instructions for the 401 arn't that great.

(thats where clubs come in handy)

  • Ain't nothing money can't fix

  • lost of expert advice lol

just one mor lol gain toooooooooooooo fucking to high!!

(The more you break em and rebuild the better you get at setting up!) same r true lol b i prefer mine in one pis lol

  • he looks pissed off!!!!!!!

  • I turned the wrong gain down should have turned down channel 4 rudder was at 100%. I turned down lock and hold channel 5... Doh! and yes wasnt impressed the video was still running, but hey that was my first gyro change and set up ever, The more you break em and rebuild the better you get at setting up!

  • so you made it go forward to far?

  • he shoulda stopped flying when he landed at that red bottle and thats it that coulda been avoidable

  • "Stop the camera!"

    Dang...

  • HAHA "uh oh", classic, understatement of the year

  • You should have turned the gain down before the second flight, it was obviously set too high. But it looks to me like it was disorientation that caused the crash. Been there a few times myself.

  • Yes This was my first lock and hold gyro channed 4 rudder was to high, but I was adjusting channel 5 rate and lock and hold gains, I turned the wrong one down before the second flight, and yesy I lost orientation and the plot.....

  • It happened to me, my tails suddenly enters a uncontrolled piroutte, I manage to cut the throttle on time and do autorotation, the heli was saved

  • Hand painted standard cowl

  • Err Boom, tail rotor assembly, main shaft, flybar, main rotors, skis complete, and some bearings.Did that last year, took a couple of days to sort the re set up from scratch. Got it flying better than ever with the new gyro, but no videos,My daughter got to busy to come out and film... maybe some this summer. Also my flying field is in crop....

  • Where did u get the cover cowl thing? the tiger stripes look cool.

  • was it that costly of a fix?

  • ohh shit i thought someone was in it at first. then he was carrying it back and i was like wtf?

  • What was left of it, all fixed now ready for next season, Gyro gains now set ok.

  • Se fue a tomarporculo...

  • hi don't get mad but its youre own fault you see the trouble but you kept on flying money does not grow on tree's as you well no im very sorry you crash'ed hope you can fix it god bless an good flying

  • landed and adjusted gain lower,( not low enough!) problem was actualy gain on channel 4 not 5!I dont mind comments, thats why we post the videos!!

  • YOu can see the tail "wag" if gains r too hi(like in ur vid.). Try it at 60% to see if it goes away. Too much is more dangerous than too little...

  • Stay a bit lower the next time! I dont go higher than 2 feet when adjusting gyro or tail servo. The futaba 401 and 9254 is a brilliant set up once it is set. I use it on all 4 of my raptors. Oh and i have crashed too in case your wondering!!!

  • Was a 401. Gains to high on rudder and rate/headinghold. Flys better now...

  • Great to hear you have it sorted as it can be frustating sometimes!
