  • Hey how should a very curly headed girl go about this? Thanks!

  • @Victorian9322 I'd suggest either using a curling iron or setting your hair first. That will relax the very tight curls and make it more manageable to roll. Good luck!

  • I love it

  • What music is playing? Does it have a name? Great video by the way, something I can actually do and look decent. Thanks. :]

  • i love the way u talk

  • Thank you for this! I could even actually do this while watching the video and laying in bed! I am going to try it tonight for a vintage swing dance I am attending. I have tried victory rolls in the past and have failed. Great for getting the look without the hassle! :)

  • How you do your hair for the what? 4:09?

  • @Victorian9322 For the gym.

  • You've got gorgeous hair.

  • Oh my lord you wonderful lady stop stealing my hairstyles :D

  • Thanks! This worked well!

  • Your awesome! I work at 4am at Starbucks and I want to look cute, but I want to not wake up at 3am. Great hair ideas!!!

  • before i even watch this vid, i want to say i <3 your name haha

  • Oh, thanks!Great tips, and you look so gorgous!!!!

  • What's the difference between faux rolls, and true rolls?

  • @rockabillybeautiful These just give the illusion of a roll and are atucally nothing like a true Victory Roll - which is when the two large rolls form a 'V' shape at the nape of the neck. These actually mimic side sweeps more, but the are often mistakenly termed 'victory rolls' - hence why I've called it this - to help beginners looking for a starting point.

    Hope that helps. :)

  • @superkawaiimama

Thanks. :) I appreciate the explanation!

  • thanks for this tutorial! :D

  • What do you suggest for girls with short hair? I'm trying it but I think my hair is way to short.

  • So cute! I recently got into the whole old fashioned vintage pin up look. Do you think this look will look cute with bangs too? I just got short Bettie Page bangs lol :-)

  • You are my favorite pin up style guru ♥ Lots of Love!

  • ^-^ Thank you!

  • oh my god, thank u so much! u dont even kno how long ive been sitting here trying to find a good victory roll tutorial that actually works!

  • i love this look, simple, but needs to be more detailed on how to do it

  • Damn, wish I could see this better, it's too bright. It looks amazing, you're beautiful

  • I'm redoing these with the new camera for a better finish.. will be done soon. :)

  • You are so cute. I would marry you:)

  • Thanks! I love this tutorial and your blog! I am still trying to get passed putting the hair in front of the face and pulling through. Maybe because I am left-handed? I'm hoping to figure it out though!

  • It can be tricky to get the hang of it with your hands, but once you do, it becomes quite simple. Think about how you tie a bow... :)

  • That video is soo helpful!

Looks really great and is easy to do.

    Thanks for putting it up

And by the way you are so beautiful!

  • Wow that was easy! Thanks for putting this up. :)

  • You are absolutely adorable, love your videos and love the era that you cover!

  • thanx.. this was reallllly helpful...

except for the fact that my stupid hair didnt wanna work!! ugh!! i hate my hair!

  • This is the first time I've been able to achieve some decent rolls, thanks to your tuition. Thank you.

  • Oh thank you SOOO much! I've watched so many tutorials on this and this is the only one that I understood! I have shoulder length hair and it worked for me while the other ways didn't.

  • Thanks for this tutorial.Ihave tried and looks great :)

  • Oh, that's super cute! Becuase my hair's so very thick and curly and I live in a tropical climate I often just pull it all back into a bun for sheer convenience sake. This is a really simple way to help save me on the days when having my hair down isn't an option, either because of the weather or because of my own poor hair! Lol. Thank you again, you are a doll.

  • very cute and simple! i like

  • This is the easiest way i've erer seen to make my vintage hairdo!! and it's difficult to me because i haven't got much hair!! do you have any tip for me?? thanks, you're really kawaii!! kisses

  • i have the same problem :(

  • check out: The rolling of victory rolls, this girl makes them in 3 seconds!!!! and they look as if i had a lot of hair!!!!

  • can u still achieve this look with short hair? about up to the shoulders??

  • Yes you can do it on shorter hair, but you'll find the ends stick out in a messay way. Just use some hair comb slides to tuck them in and secure. Perfect.

  • I do this all the time with short hair.

my hair is in between my shoulders and chin and curly. its very easy.

  • After I saw your clip I started styling my hair your way...it is so much faster! Thanks!

  • Awesome, great upload. Gotta try it for tomorrow =)

  • Love it! So cute :) and your accent is lovely.

  • i gasped because that is such a clever way to do it!

  • Oooh neat, I'd acctually have time to do that before college...

What's the music in the background?

  • i can't wait until my hair gets longer to do this style..all my layers and medium length hair make it difficult, but I know how great it will be when it's grows out a bit. what happens is after i twist and pin, my hair sticks out sideways because there's not enough length left! lol! it's quite funny looking :-)

  • I just had mine 'trimmed' and they cut way too much off so I am now victim to the sticking out bits too! I use a slide comb into the back of the roll to hold it all in place and it helps to push them forward a bit too.

  • oh no-i hate when they give you that type of "trim"! but least you came up with a great idea to remedy the situation- thank you!

  • your voice reminds me of mary poppins. hhehe. ilove it.

  • gorgeous! :)

  • Thanks for the tip with the combs. Now I just need to find some. You really do have a pleasant voice and clear diction! (I think that's what you call it).

  • lovely piece of art, miss! your voice is very pleasant to hear, though. Very classy!! :) thank you very much for this video share.

  • omg i love you!

you are so cute and so helpfull :]

i wish you were my mom lol

  • OH EM GEE! that was soo awesomely awesome! seriously u smary fox you! lmao i LOVE it saddly i cant do it cause i desided to cut my hair scene style so i have to stick with the old fashioned way! oh well thank you though!

  • At last! someone who has finally shown me an easy and quick way of creating victory rolls - will definately be using all your tips! :-)

  • Thank you so much for this vid! I've spent AGES trying (and failing) to do these and your tips worked for me, even though my hair is a lot shorter than yours, yay! xx

  • oh my! that is one of the cutest hairstyles I've ever seen! I have really long, thick hair, and I don't really know how to do any cute updos or anything, but this one I could actually do myself! thanks! :)

  • Heya, I found this through the lounge (which I cant join because of my e-mail :'( ) but I just wanted to say this is AWESOME! and I lOVE the way you speak! (I'm American lol) thanks so much for this!

  • Hi there. Does you ISP give you an email account you can use? Anyway, thanks for the kudos. I really enjoy making these and there are more on the way (promise!) :)

  • hmm...I really don't know about the isp...I can pretty much only type and find the internet with the computer! lol.

  • huzzah! I've gotten in! lol thanks!

  • I think I must have spatial awareness problems or something. I can tell it's really simple but I JUST can't work out what you're doing. I've been sitting here for about 15 minutes and I can't work out which way to twist and loop... :( You look beautiful, by the way!

  • Hmm I think it's because my hair is just washed, naturally totally dead straight and heavy - and it doesn't behave like yours! Should I be using mousse to make it stay where I put it? Thanks

  • Well, just washed hair is much harder to work with. rather than mousse which makes the hair a bit crunchy, try a wax shaper paste, that's what I use. (Not too much though or it will weight it down.) Did you figure out the loops?

  • you are very pretty!Really!!!

  • Aww thank you. ^-^

  • Wow this was the best tutorial ive seen yet. Thanks so much!

  • Excellent, I hope it works well for you
