How sad Mr. Macfadyen was thoroughly embarrassed by these people who think they own him on the internet and who put him in a box. It's called irony. JR did not mean his comments about the "internet" as complimentary--quite the contrary, it was a joke. So much for irony.

But alas, Mr. Macfadyen rose to the occasion, or as much as could be expected.
