ITA! All the characters are different. Serena was dizzy, Blair was a basketcase, Nate was a screwup weedhead, Chuck was gay, Dan was a dreamer, Jen was loose and Vanessa was a bald headed punk chick. I liked the prequel too. But it totally disregarded tons of stuff that we were told in the other books. In the prequel BN got together when they were 15. But in the other books they got together at 11. So we have 2 take the show as it comes. Just like the books. (Hope Aaron comes to the tv show.)
