i think the ad slightly misrepresents the woman here... and tries to show the man a hero - he sacrifices the race for the kid. also, why can't he think of the kid and race better and win for the sake of the kid ???

well both are important right. He tried & balanced it out by leaving his pregnant wife behind but he couldnt help himself by ignoring his new born child. At that very instant he had to reset his priorities & he chose his family. Many times in life we have to make a trade off & there is no soln where we can say to hell with family or to hell with work. he tried to work it out incase the child wouldnt have been born during it he may have won it. :) heart sometimes overshadows brain and its normal
