I loved this show. I was living in Blackheath at the time, used to run past the Dome every few days in 98 and 99 and went twice. I saw the show twice, and finally got the sound track in 03. What stuck me about the Dome was the negativity of my English bretherin (and sisterin!) My land lady used to call it the DOOM. With an atitude like that it was doomed. I thought it was great. In my arrogance I thought that it would have been great in Australia, but now I realise we're just as negative.
I was a BT volunteer who worked in the Talk zone - it was a fantastic experience. I will never forget the show which I saw many times. It will always be with me.
I worked on secondment from my day job in the Talk Zone, it was a fantastic experience and of course I got to see the show many times. Its such a shame that the media gave the Dome so much bad publicity, if it really was as bad as they said, why did 25,000+ people visit every day? Happy memories!
Sorry, no videos. From what I remember the Dome organisation was very strict on what could and couldn't be videod by visitors and the show was one of those that couldn't. But I guess someone somewhere had a full copy.
@bellajohn agreed i came to visit for the day i watched the show 3 times it was amazing! i had the soundtrack cd after but now i cant find it and im gutted :(
This brought back some happy memories. I was one of the aerial performers in this show and I can honestly say it was one of the greatest 18 months of my life, the 6 months training and rehearsing the show and then 12 months performing.
@utubecircus i have made a dvd of the last show plus some other stuff plus some stuff from the party before the last night, as you will know it was a time we will never forget,
Went to see the Cirque Du Soleil here in Lisbon on Sunday - it reminded me so much of what I remember seeing in the Dome that year. It was an extraordinary production that I shall remember all my life. The Cirque du Soleil is great to see as it is along the same lines (fanastical music, amazing costumes, choreography, scenery and magical circus/street entertainers) it will be sure to bring back these memories of 2000.
I went to this show amid all the doom of the dome and its big budget...........it was EXTRAORDINARY......one of the most amazing things I have seen in my life. If they had added 30 mins and marketed it this would still be running....anybody who has real pictures please send
This video was part of the music CD which was available at the Millenium Dome show. I bought this at the Millenium Dome and it features time lapse photography, and plays in a computer drive. I feel certain that no DVD was ever produced and Video was not allowed for some reason....anyway catch my video on my channel....Regards Bob
Lovely to hear you enjoyed it. It's so sad that for some reason all evidence was removed and all the footage was suppressed. Perhaps Mandelson can explain now he's back from Brussels...
I wsaw this show twice when I was 8. I wish they released it on video or DVD. It was so amazing. My dad got me the soundtrack because I showed such an interest in it XD
So... now that we know that there is no video DVD of OVO, how can we ask Peter Gabriel to edit a video of it?, how can we suggest this? it was such a great work and, to me, it's a shame that there is no DVD...
totally agree, this show WAS the dome, OVO should have continued to run long after all the other tat was removed...an amazing venue for an amazing show...
I saw the Show...Amazing, as far as I know there is no Dvd of the actiual show, just the msic, and a rap version of the story of OVO... But if someone has a copy Share on YOUtube, even snippets is good!

I would love a copy of the show.
I took my niece at 11 months old and she now loves any kind of acts big or small.
This is where it started for her.
