I just got through watching this movie. I've seen it many times before and I consider it one of my favorites. This movie had a great script and the perfect balance between action and comedy.This kind of film has been imitated many times before but rarely equalled. The 80s had some damn good comedies

BHC is one of those great movies that doesn't need to be remade because it stands the test of time, was done right the first time, and stands on its own merits. Very, very few remakes equal or surpass the originals, and many are nothing more than desperate excuses for the film companies to make a quick buck off an already established brand name. Three words: "The Karate Kid" (2010).

They're just nice extra's. The story, the acting and the originality are things that make a movie (like Beverly Hills Cop) one of the greats, things that remakes always screw up.

In story, acting, special effects, and quality. I'm not saying it's the same for EVERY movie, since there are a few remakes that were bad.
