Reality drawing has lost its appeal to me because of photography, especially since you can project an image of the bluebell and trace it without having any knowledge of perspective or artistic talent. Actually, that darn book by David Hockney "Secret Knowledge.." was what really did it.
@dkw12002 I know what you mean, but a drawing does something else - you can see the object in 3d and get to understand its construction by drawing it. a photo never does that
Lovely experience to watch you work, many thanks. Do you use Rotring Isograph or Rapidograph pens ? I have a love/hate relationship with them, what with the ink drying and flushing the pens grrrrrrr :0)

@runeskypex I suppose I've been drawing about thirty five years! If Things don't work out I just relax and do it again. Don't wait for inspiration, it rarley comes. Just keep working away at it and you suddenly make a leap forward. If you have no ideas, keep improving your current idea and a new idea will come along. Just keep looking and learning and understanding how things are put together and try to draw what you understood. Look at other people's work and see how they do it. If I have a

@brightgeeful I use rotting tikky graphic - they're dispoable - and work beautifully and don't smell and dry waterproof
