Although rooting for David Archuleta the entire season, I have to say that Carly and Syesha were THE BEST, NO FUCKING QUESTION of the top 6 that season and should have BOTH been safe. Jason Castro and David Cook [fuck popularity this is a singing competition] should have ended up in the bottom 2 - not sure who should have gone home but they should've been there - not Carly and Syesha.

I think that they probably should change the process of voting because if you leave all into the hands of America, the best singers will continue to be eliminated instead of those 'charming' people who get the sympathy of the people. Like Simon said, AI should be a talent contest, NOT a popularity contest.

Unless she takes constructive criticisms as challenges and improves on her lousy attitude and performances, she'll never really win even if she became the idol! I agree that one needs more than just a powerful voice. There are millions of people with all sorts of talents (musical, acting, political, etc) but to excel in many fields like the music industry it takes more than just talent. It also takes personality. You can have a person w/the best leadership skills and ideas to lead a country but w/out being able to connect w/ the people w/their personality, they won`t be elected. The same is in the music industry. Carly just couldn`t connect.

I do believe overall Brooke has been able to connect more with people than Carly and that is reflected in the votes. For me personally, I feel more connected w/Brooke than Carly & I think Carly even admitted to some extent this shortcoming when she said she`s been picking songs to show her voice rather than songs she likes so she hasn`t been having fun & people have picked up that vibe. I haven`t had fun watching her. I recognize her talent but watching her isn`t fun. The same goes for Sayesha.

I think based on the whole season Brooke deserved to stay b/c this week Brooke messed up but all other weeks she`s been great, but Carly has not impressed me once the whole season. I think that`s why she went before Brooke. Brooke was just given a second chance while Carly has been given multiple 2nd chances. But Brooke really must prove herself from now on b/c there probably will be no more 2nd chances & eventually she`s going to go soon anyway since probably the boys will be the top 2

I must disagree! Brooke got sympathy votes! She does the " I'm the sweet underdog thing". She was terrible last night and also for the last 2 weeks! As compared to Carly, she doesnt have that powerful range. All she pretends to do is sing it from the heart which by the way, is just a poor rendition of the original.
