Calm down there, NewsOnDemand... Ron himself poked fun at this — which resulted from a computer glitch at the studio — on the radio the next day. I don't think anyone is implying he screwed up.
I got the scoop on what happened here. I was actually watching "lost" when this aired. I felt so bad for him, because he had now idea he was live. What happened was the computer screwed up the signals between the cable channels, and the High Def. antenna feed, so it put him live in HD (how convenient) So the only people who saw it were the people who were watching in HD. That is, of course, until it shows up on youtube. Now everyone has seen it. Ron Majors is the best anchor out there!

Ron Magers was at a Chicago grocer's last week with his grandkids when a woman approached him & said, "What are YOU doing here?" As if just because his job is on TV he's somehow less "human", and doesn't have to ever eat or blow his nose!
