What exactly do you mean by that? I still think MC has more musical talent than many of today's pre-fabricated singers combined. MC will always have that amazing singing voice of hers, and not to mention that she's such a beautiful woman too, regardless of being almost 40.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE her voice and agree that she does have a magnitude of talent, especially compared to today's "singers". But I don't like the diva appearance of her, and her look is too plastic... too barbie-ish. She wasn't that way when she first came out, and around the whole Glitter era she just... changed.

Well, let's remember that MC is not as young as she used to be back in the early 1990's. I think she is trying to appeal to the younger audiences with her "barbie-ish" image. But her amazing voice will always be the same, that is the only constant.

That's the thing she shouldn't try to appeal to younger artists by compromising her image AND her music. Her music is purely hit-driven and you can tell in the quality of her songs. I used to love her stuff from Vision of Love, Emotions, Music Box, Honey, now I don't enjoy her stuff all that much, it's too "recipe-like" and formulaeic. But I will support her because she still has IT!

I totally agree...I miss the previous MC, the Mariah Carey that used to sing those songs like Hero and the ones you mentioned. She shouldn't try to change her musical identity.

I agree MC is definately my 2nd favorite artist of all time(1st of course is whitney), I really love her voice and most of her songs. I will never forget in the early 90's when she first came on the seen at that time "Dream Lover" was then on the charts, I think I feel in love that very day lol!!
