  • @101foreveryoung Why 'cause you had to read it in English class'?

It's brilliant. Mind you, I'm saying that never having to have read it for English class...

  • @TheMikeyReilly I had to read it for Civics , and it was just really boring to me it was hard to pay attention .

  • I really like this, Nice one! I love the book too

  • @iDreamOfJulia the live action one had a Mollie. She was the horse that Jessie spoke to in the beginning. Although her disappearance wasn't shown in the movie.

  • /watch?v=7mhvbhx2pEQ Here is my awesome version, which also shows how this relates to the Cold War. It's soo funny

  • this is so excellent. you did a great job.

  • Brought me to tears :'(.

BTW The Music in this is from The Village (2005), am I right?

  • I thought the movie was dumb, but I started tearing up when the horse went to the glue factory. :(

  • ZOMG the highest rated comments have both been in Freshman Level English.

  • This movie sucked so much that I went outside and kicked the shit out of my neighbors piglets. "Entertain me you filth!"

  • I really liked reading the book and I want to see this movie.

  • Old Major is rly freaky....

i heard theres a sex scene in this movie.... is that true? i kinda hope not

  • @yodadax222 It's in the beginning, and it's censored and only shown for two seconds.

  • @yodadax222 "Is there a sex scene?" You don't see anything, it's quite comical, there isn't much to it, so nothing to worry about. Don't show it to young kids.... just to stay away from the 'What are they doing?' questions.

  • @MIRANDAlegheadsmack

Snowball running around with an ice pick in his head, now that would of been good viewing

  • is this the guy who narrated the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy?

  • im doing animal farm in english at the moment too lol

  • omgz me 2

  • We finished this book in school just today! It's a really sad book, but it contains alot of truths about the ways of human beings...

  • we are on chapter 4-6 or something i want to know do they ever find snowball or does he get killed

  • he died

  • he died how the dogs never got him he ran off

  • Snowball is never found however Trotsky who Snowball represents fled to Mexico and was assasinated.

  • 2 bad he was my favorite

  • I love the vid. I just finished reading the book in school, I think that you did a great job!!!

  • Awsome video =] I found the book really depressing and I have to actually force myself to read till the end XP Not like depressing like a tragedy or anything, but the book is like a gaint mirror that forces you to have a good, hard look on humanity, whether you like it or not. And the tone the narrarator was as if it was a non-fiction book, which put the emphasis on how horribly true this story is. It is an awsome book but I really hope I do not have to read it again.....

  • im reading this book at my school and i dont understand it cuz i slept every time they read it

  • And what about that dog? That dog wasn't in the book. If anything, this should have been told from Benjamin's perspective. Bah, I think some parts of this were worse than the cartoon... others, better.

  • i know right and it was a more gradual process before the pigs went bad at first. it was what a year before they stopped having meetings but watever movies dont generally match books anyway oh well i still enjoyed the book

  • and it really pissed me off that the farmer blew up the windmill i mean that change was so stupid that he would blame snowball i mean if jones did it why not tell the truth

  • he didn't say that it was jones, because he wanted to minimize the support for snowball... jones was already so hated that he wasn't a problem... But true, i got pissed off too when napoleon blamed snowball for it...

  • I watched this. I love it. Yeah sure the ending was VERY different. And no way it could match the book. But I love the movie too.

  • I wonder if this Author was a Vegan or a vegetarion.haha. GO VEGAN!!

  • Animal Farm is a classic work by George Orwell and a noted piece of literature, which, of course, may help the reader to catapult the imagination beyond the horizons of dogmatic adherence to idealistic or Utopian thoughts. It however, represents human characteristics in an analogy of animal instincts, but it really gives insight into the Russian Revolution of 1917. It also mimics the doomsday of a precipitated change, brought by a modicum of bureaucratic class called as Bolsheviks.

  • Good job :D

    i liked it

  • GO VEGATERIAN!!!!!!!!!

  • how did the pigs learn to talk to people. from the beginning they can only talk to other animals but near the end of the film they can talk to humans what has changed?

  • Actually,This AF story came from a real story(Russian Revolution)Where involve evil People.

  • the truth is frightening

  • And here!

  • you know if there is the whole movie of animal farm available on youtube?

  • thers the animated cartoon version. look up animal farm 1/8

  • better yet u can watch the entire 1999 film on google video

  • Really good work..That helped me because i have my englisch exams in a couple of days on the topic animal farm..

  • I hate movies with talking animals.

  • and here too!!!!

  • I read the book. it was really interesting and surprising at times!

  • You did an excellent job! I hope you got a good great, you deserve it

  • I'm too lazy to read Animal Farm before. But after watching this.. it just looks so interesting. =x

  • You did a great job! I read this book a few months ago, (and then got inspired to read 1984 [which is really good too]) but we didn't get to see any of the movies. The music- it's from The Village, right? I love that movie. It really does work well with this movie.

  • I had read "Animal Farm" back to back tonight, because I have this dumb test tomorrow on it in my English class. After reading it, I would like to see the movie despite terrible reviews. Nicely done! This little video says a lot and is a great trailer-if that's what you would like to call it. GREAT JOB!

  • smartbrick, take it from me, you'll be glad for that "dumb test" 20 years from now, when you look back and see how relevant it was to the state of things today.

  • "Take it from me." What does that mean? What are you even talking about?

  • satire at its best

  • that was awesome, im reading the book again in eighth grade for a literature project and now i reallly want to see the movie.

  • Snowball represents Leon Trotsky a perswon who has the best interests of the people in mind.and Napoleon represents Joseph Stalin a Dictator

  • @robertrulebirtannia Snowball doesn't really have their best interests in minds does he?

  • @robertrulebirtannia Oh wait, was Snowball the one that got chased away? I'm getting them confused, sorry. I was thinking of the squeally pig that is Napoleon's announcer.

  • got to read this book

  • wow...this is for an english class?! You could do really well in a Video class, let me tell you that.

  • This was amazingly done; it gave me chills a bit, lol. All I've seen is the cartoon version of this, and I have read the book, but I think I need to hunt down this version now...

  • we just finished this book and movie in class but our teacher didn't let us watch the whole thing, she just had us watch the beg. 1 day and end another :( but this helped show wat i missed

    ;D

  • I thought this was really well done! Great job combining the audio book and the movie! I get to see the movie tomorrow in class, so I came to youtube to get an idea of what might be different. This was really good though, great job! =)

  • How come the pigs aren't standing on their hind legs?

  • read the book

  • I saw this in class today.

It's quite scary by the music it was playing.

But overall, it's a great movie.

    =]

  • wow! that was good! we r doing a school production of animal farm! should be good! Im the farmer who gets killed by the animals!

  • i know its all smybolic- but did boxer HAVE to die? lol!!!!!!

  • Reading this book right now for a monthly book report thing my teacher does because my tutor recommended it for me. It's pretty good, but I'm not too far in it yet.

  • some are more equal than others.....

  • is this vid out ??? cuz im readin the book in english and the teacher says she would show the vid.. but she said the only vid was a cartoon which this is not sooo can u tell me wat its called so i could tell her :/

  • It's a Hallmark film made for TV in 1999, titled Animal Farm. I'm pretty sure it's available at most video rental stores, and it is available through Netflix. :]

  • @shahrzad1893 our teacher had this version we watched it

  • well good!

  • Vive le Snowbal!!! Die for napoleon!

  • i just read this book in my english class. I gotta say that usually i don't read many books and if iEveryone should read it.

  • Very well done, I'm impressed.

  • I hate napoleon!!! Snowball did nothing wrong

  • Stupid animal pinkos

  • Great Job-It's good to know young people are still reading this book and being affected by it-FIGHT THE POWER

  • I remember watching this in highs school.

It was a...pretty scary film to me anyway, but i loved it. good job!

  • We just saw the movie a couple days ago in Language Arts

  • I'm still reading this book, and I'm at Chapter 8 ... I think. But yep, I'm far.

    Very good book.

Boxer's a very good character you can look upon, since you can learn a thing or 2 from him.

  • That pig is so cheap haha!

  • too bad that we couldn't actually learn from the 4 legged animal. Maybe then there would be no incest, rape, murder, homelessness, self mutalation & so forth. Maybe then there would be unity in our world, our life how rice would that be ..... Think before you speak

  • have any or u really listened or read the words & how cruel the human race can be compared to that of the 4 legged animal?

  • chancho de mierda

  • I love this book. Its one of my favorites. The pig graphics in the movie suck though. lol ^_^

  • The Book's awsome

  • I ve just read and finished it..everybody have to read it..

  • I love it. I've read it twice.

  • everybody reads dis for english class huh.. lol .. bhs anybody?

  • we're just starting to read this in your english class today! it sucks i hate reading!

  • It's a great book. What is sad is that I see similarities between the book and modern America.

  • i see more similarities with the rise of the soviet union

  • that's what it was originally written about. My point is, is that this book was written about a completely different government in a different time period, and yet our own society is reflecting this.

  • Yeah, I've also noticed a few similarities between the book and the US, but even more between the film adaptation and the US because of how television is used to control how the animals think - a lot like how television contols the minds of many Americans.

  • True, I hate the media. It's corrupt and evil.

  • whoa. animal farm is more scarier now

  • True. When I first read the book, I spent fifteen minutes in shock about its implications. After reading it again, I was depressed thinking that it could happen here.

  • "bhs anybody?"

    bhs in what state?

  • Napoleon is an asswhole in the book

  • Im reading the book in my english class right now. It's starting to get pretty scary....

  • excellent :D

  • it's a shame, that the emphasis and meaning from the book can never be fully portraid in film. But this is well done, none the less.

  • Why couldn't it be fully portrayed on film? Or do you just mean that the two adaptations so far haven't done so?

  • Yeah. Soz. It would take a very skilled director to pull it off. Because it contains takling animals, many people who havn't read the book wouldn't takie it seriously.

  • LOL the Pink Floyd's musics are based on this movies, there are Sheeps and Dog, there is 1 about pigs too

  • I like this movie. It was well done.

  • 7:44 is amazing just the animation and the wording and music

  • yah benjamin stinks boxer rulz

  • that is totally not true! i actually read this book, beg your pardon, and if you like boxer, u should not have anything against benjamin. he just doesn't want to do what we call "rock the boat"

  • good video. the music is from the village.

  • what exactly do you mean?

  • the music is from the film the village.

  • I watched this film some years ago. I loved it then and I still love it now. Thanks for the video

  • I have to read this for english class, this looks like a good movie and book seems interesting now!

  • it is a very sad film.. poor boxer... waaaaaa.. this was taken after the russian revolution stalin is napoleon =)

  • i was about to cry but was too embarrassed

  • haha im watchin this film in English at school

  • lol so am i , i go to gal. got ms green.. lol

  • Just Shows how great communism works.=/

I like your video it may actually get me interested in the book.

  • I LOVED that book. Very moving. George orwell was the most clever writer in history.

  • i love how there able to make it fit in so good with the Russian revolution. And the Soviet Union

  • poor boxer...i love him! =[

  • I don't like the Napolean...Snow ball was really good, but he was chased away :(

  • ye what that guy said

  • dictators liberate themselves while enslaving the masses.

  • portrays what life was like in Stalin's Russia which must have been a hellish nightmare!

  • na it was based on the russian revolution, good book

  • it was based on the german revolution

  • umm, no

  • no,the whole story resembles the russian revolution where napoleon stands for stalin, snowball for trotsky and major for both linen & karl marx

  • wtf? it was the soviet time and napolean is portrayed as joseph stalin a russian czar

  • omg this was such a fucked up movie!!! and they got rid of snowball!!! old major is an ugly fuck seriously! and boxer...sad thinkin about it

  • squealer is man gay

  • man i hated squeler the most and napolean too and boxer shouldve just crushed them if he wasnt too naive

  • ROTFL I GUESS IM THE THIRD PERSON TO FINISH ANIMAL FARM IN HONORS ENGLISH ahahahaha lol small world

  • OOO!! i just finish reading this book in honors english too and took the test today. we watched the movie and i like the movie ending better than the book. well mostly because its a happy ending. xD but it was kinda rushed.

  • its not a happy ending though! dont you see what Stalin did?

  • OMG! I just finished this book in honors english.... how did you learn to do it so well..? please comment back to me

  • Nice movie!

  • Great Trailer Btw :)

  • Same here kiddo :) wanna prepare myself cuz we get to watch the movie too in English...LOVED the book and been workin my ass off all night on this 12 question outline =_= so tired...Almost done...

  • Cool, what did you make it on?

  • Windows Movie Maker.

  • Awesome :]

I just finished Animal Farm in my English class yesterday, got a huge final on it tomorrow..

but then we get to watch the movie next week.

  • This movie really missed the point of the book!

It is supposed to be a parody of the beginning of the Soviet Union! My people never ran away from Stalin! And monarchy didn't come back after communism broke down! Doesn't anyone know anything of USSR? If you don't want to believe this than I guess you can be like the animals, being triked by an American Squealer!

  • You, my good sir, do not pay attention and your nationalist attitude is distracting you from the movie's true colors.

They weren't expressing that monarchy came back at all, just that a new and more fair ruler came into power.

In fact, if you want to get symbolic, since there were more than one person in the car, it could be counted as representation of a republic.

  • It's a book about soviet totalitarianism. Have you actually read it?!

  • (In response to Kachiechan's comment, not to the video)

  • @Kiwirebekah written by an anti communist its all biased doesnt show the true power of communism

  • i just got done reading this for skool

  • We just started.

  • nice this is a good sumerization of the book. ah good memories in 2nd pd english..........

  • awesome!

the pigs always scared me when i was little XD

  • wow I loved this trailer... thingy

just read animal farm yesterday and I was just about to watch the movie =DD it looks cool! although i heard it is a little different from the book =P (poor boxer! he was my favorite character! so symbolic lol)

  • We had to watch this in english. The pigs make me laugh so much, love the noses! :]

  • not a bad summary

  • Very well made, but a few minutes too long, in my opinion.

    Felt like a trailer though.
