  • thanks. this video is pretty much how i expected the install to go. ill be doing it later today. all that extra hard stuff, removing half the car just seemed way too silly. this video cleared everything up and made it easy.

  • thanks alot champ. just went and put some alpine 6x9s in mine after watching ur video.

  • did you just sauder the wires? cause that would be a bitch to do in the trunk..

  • i got those 2 bitch screws out with a long medium sized flathead.. its a much easier processs if you don't want to do a lot of work. basically just takes patience fiddling with the screw and getting a routine going. 1 speaker is 30 mins basically requires a lot of patience

  • Good lookin bro

  • I was just staring at my wife's car after replacing the head unit and finding out one of the rear speakers is blown thinking "How in the crap am I going to get in there to swap that out?!"

And now I know. Perfect. Thank you!

  • Thanks bro

  • I've been working on my rear speakers for about 2 hours. I've almost mangled the covers. Thanks so much bro, very detailed, very helpful.

  • very informative vid! thanks bro!

  • great video thanks man!

  • Hey i noticed your trunk torsion bars werent bothering your speaker, if im correct, did you twist it or remove them and re install them or something?

  • I can't find the lever to pull to release the backseat

  • @jackjay81 Pls help. there is no lever to pull civic 99. tnx

  • those back 2 bolts, when i try to unscrew them it hits my back window. How do i get those off?

  • @Babyykilla99 Might need to use a shorter screw driver. They are pretty cheap to get at a local hardware store.

  • @meltron3000 but theres literally like 2 inches until it hits the window, i think ill make a video response so u can understand better what im talking about

  • Thx man ur the best

  • big help dude. hey were can I get the metal fittings that attach to the stripped wires which in turn go into the new speaker??? I am having trouble finding where to get some.

  • @ metron3000 thanks bud, i was able to replace the ones on the back w/ no prob. But the front ones i need to get the ones u have lol. People at ebay keep sayin its 6.5 or 61/2 size. But the one they sent me was bigger in diameter. But anyways thanks to you again.

  • @dominionclerk Glad it helped! Sorry that you got sent the wrong size. Bummer for real. Hopefully you get the right ones and are able to install them with no problem. Good luck!

  • Dude what model of speakers are those? I figure ill just go on and grab the same ones Nice vid btw, thanks man

  • @dominionclerk Sony Xplode. Bought them at Walmart for like $40 dollars. They aren't the best, but do sound much better than stock. Just make sure they are wired correctly.

  • helped so much man, thanks a ton

  • That was awesome video and instructions. I was about to destroy the whole back in attempt to pry open the speaker covers but thanks to your post, my civic will have the back cover intact.

  • @wantrade Ha! Excellent, glad this helped.

  • do you know if you can do the same method with a coupe?

  • @ej8cgp Not too sure. But, I would "think" it's the same. The worst that could happen is that it doesn't work. I don't think it will result in you breaking anything. Good luck and let me know if this helped.

  • OMG thank you your like the only person on youtube that has actually shown ppl how to replace the speakers in the rear. THANK YOU. I'm gonna try it on my 95 civic in about two weeks and if everything goes well...im adding you as a friend lol

  • @2hotallday Thanks bud! :) Hope all goes well!

  • are they 6by9 speakers? i have the exact same car lol

  • @simon68686 Yep, 6x9's. Sony Xplodes I picked up from Walmart. They sound ok, but not amazing. If you're looking for good sound, don't go with these. Definitely visit Best Buy or some other traditional car audio shop for better choices.

  • @meltron3000 you should buy online, not wal mart, i think im gonna go with sony xplods or similar, i will hook an amp up to them also to get more power/ sound

  • @meltron3000 can you do a front door speaker replacement also?

  • @simon68686 @simon68686 Yep. Just uploaded it. I actually recorded it the same night. I replaced all the speakers in one go. Hope it helps.

  • Thanks, was able to get the back speakers intsalled on my 1997 civic

  • @GlacierTrak Awesome, glad this helped!

  • PS.

They're called plastic "clips" not fasteners, or caps lol

Just to point it out :)

  • @Kennykid2002 Hehe, thanks Kenny.
