that thing runs really good! really quiet too. i was camping once and a friend of mine had a honda generator running when i walked up and i was like "hey man is your car running?" hes like "no thats the generator" i cant believe how quiet and smooth those things run
does anybody know how to start a Honda gx270 generator?? please help also can i can i use my generator as an engine for my go kart and would it be very hard to do?? thanks
@ShaneC5296 you turn the switch on, turn the choke on, turn the fuel on, and pull. let it run for like 30 seconds then turn the choke lever to "run". you can use the engine for a go kart as long as it doesnt have a tapered shaft. if it doesnt have a tapered shaft, then it would be pretty easy to do.
to be honest i would rather have a honda engine on my generator than a briggs.. i think they are more reliable and last a whoal lot longer. i like that generator.
It just purrs like a kitten! But I would prefer a diesel one, they last longer and can run all day on one tank of fuel. They have a lot more torque too, so more power from the generator.
can u make a vid on tuning a chainsaw carbm im not the best at that but can do it. and i have a stihl cut off saw without spark, do i need a new coil or can it be fixed?
Never heard of that Brand. But these days there is so many brands of generators out there its crazy. A larger tank wouldn't be hard to mount on that frame. The auto idler im not sure of though.
Hey Don : you're right, never heard of that brand in U.S., but would like to have it. Thanks for the tip about automatic idle. The old man has a big generator and it's always running at it's highest r.p.m. Always wondered why it wouldn't just idle..thanks. I personally would like a quiet running diesel. Any thoughts?
Nice one, i have a generator that is locked up, corroded and rusted all over it was really abused so should i use any parts off it? Or just junk it? Not much is good on it i dont think it can be repaired to easy and not a great generator to start, yet another great video asset to ebay Dony!
Nice generator are you going to add a bigger tank if so how would you fit in there?
I have heard that you can add the autoidle system from a kit I have heard about it for briggs engine gen sets but I have not found the kit as of yet. I have a 5kva set that has a 10 horse engine that need a bigger tank as I use it for my oxygen system.
Great engine. I love Honda engines

I've never seen a generator with a manual throttle before.
