The pot gets soggy, but it holds up nicely. Be sure to leave it in a tray. The soggy paper pot can just be planted directly in the ground in the spring. The roots break through the paper easily.
what you can do is make a paste from wet newspaper and flour - paper mache - and mould cups with your hands and leave to dry. a hole thru the bottom and your good to go
