Yeah, there's actually two other versions of this song called where he sings Crushed Blind instead of Bled White. There's one that was recorded at a Jackpot! studios session and another one that I don't know where was recorded. Should be easy to find on a p2p-software ala Soulseek.
i couldn`t agree more. i like his other albums, but i think that either or and xo are my favourite. between either or and xo is sort of a barrier, because after either or, dreamworks signed him to a huge contract that gave him a lot more to work with in the studio. the opening track on xo, sweet adeline, starts off like a song from the three albums before, sort of a raw acoustic feel. but then, it just explodes into all this new stuff that he had access to with the dreamworks studio.

No, they don't "kinda blow". You may not like them - the more ornate arrangements may sound more commercial to you - but they decidely don't "blow".
