I don't claim that evolution accounts for conciousness or reason. However, feelings and emotions ARE purely physiological. Please do study on psychology and neuroscience. Morals and rational capabilities also have a basis in the brain. And behavior in chimpanzees show moral and rational behavior just like many other NON human animals. One more thing, chimps are 98 percent the same as us... That's more genetics than what horses share with zebras....
