Well you have an narguement with Feist, but nickelback and Nelly Furtado might as well be american. Nelly is signed out of L.A. and Nickelback out of New York with management in California. Their peers are American who vote on who wins. Canada's record comapnies have to stop rejecting the major selling artists and handing them over on a silver platter to Americans

Every facet of this business is a cesspool,-I found this out on a couple of levels back in 89. I don't really even have a regard for anyone in "moth to flame mode". I was just starting something here for the sake of Feist. Now as an underdog, she'll do even better.($) When "More than a Feeling" came out, they sold 7 million units in a few months & were still shut out.

She's in good company, but really-

It's so crowded, everyone in the biz could drop dead, & all be replaced the next day.

Rush who I love, Nickelback, Nelly Furtado, Sum 41, Alanis Morisette, Shania Twain all have 1 thing in Common. They were ALL rejected by EVERY MAJOR Canadian Record Label, they're considered "not talented enough". The Canadian Embassy in Los Angeles had a pre-grammys party this weekend.They praised canadian artists by name none of which you mentioned were mentioned in the emabassy speech except for feist. Something DOES smell bad, but its how the music business is run in canada.
