if you train, you can get far, but you need to be born with an amazing voice to begin with, and have a great sense of rhythm. Remember, no good beatboxer is a bad singer. you need it for many different sounds.

I'm not bragging, but was always good in "making sounds". But also I was always doing them, or trying to imitate sounds around me.

So...if you try, try, and try, and "train" your mouth, you can learn most of it.

Yeah I agree, but i think it's definitely mixed in with talent and skill, but no average guy can become a beatboxing master with alot of practice, you gotta have something first.

To be fair, this is nowhere near BM's best video, he's got some crazy crazy better ones, which I recommend you check out. He can sing really really well as well.

I know that this video isn't his best, I've watched all of his videos. This is one of few that i can say to be able to do some of it.

And to me he is the best because he does a variety of music.

His jazz video, then gabber, and then a little james brown...love it!!!

I'm glad we're on the same page here! His gabba was sweet, and his 'thing' and his headspace thing was absolutely mindblowing.

But in a technical point of view, I would rate this vid quite high because of the effects, which are so accurate, but he does do funner cooler stuff too. And if you want sound effects, check out Michael Winslow. He's better than BM.

Yeah but you have to be born with a relatively good voice. Greatest beatboxers like Beardyman are also extremely lucky to have a great voice. Great beatboxers make great singers too, but not the way around.
