Twilight redefines the 'romance' theme with deep and interesting characters. Sure, it may not be entirely original in that Meyer did not create vampires and werewolves, but the point still remains valid.

Erin Hunter did not create cats but they make you think about what the cat may think of the world and their problems in their society. Vampire Diaries are different from twilight since they have much more suspense and better characters, but I'd say the show is better than the books without a doubt.

The problem is that she wants her vampires to just be all-powerful, so you put any other character in front of Edward and Meyer will claim Edward can kill that character in .01 seconds. She can keep saying that because her world doesn't have an established set of rules as to what vampires can do. So we don't actually know what speeds Edward can reach because she's not good enough of a writer to set limits, and she'll just keep claiming he's more powerful than--

I liked Twilight before the craze and hate Bella because she fails as a main character and is she goes through any of the character development a character must go she fails...the books at are a 4th grade reading level with SAT words sprinkled in it to make it look hard but the plotline is pretty much obvious and predictable. Honestly, the only reason I picked Yu-Gi-Oh was because it was the first thing that I thought of. The fangirls, I admit, are one of the worst thing in the world. And they are insanely outspoken, but there are millions of fangirls on other fan bases, such as Harry Potter for example. The messages in the book do seem to be the dominating reason, and it annoys me to no end that no one has brought them up in an interview with SM. I'm just trying to see things from two point of views.

Every girl I really know LOVES the Twilight series (I think except for 1). Well, some of them haven't read the books, but they love the movies. I've never read it, and I don't want to. So, I can't have an opinion the books, but I did see the the Twilight movie, it was so boring to me, I fell asleep. I didn't even want to see the movie, my aunt did, I didn't have anything better to do. I didn't bother see New Moon.
@Iluvmusicandsugar I know this sounds typical of me because I hate the books, but I think the movies are awful examples of film making. From things like the acting done by both Pattinson and Stewart to the bluish or brownish hues that the makers all seem to be fond of. I remember I couldn't finish watching the first one because the bad editing was irritating me.
I totally agree Twilight sucks. A lot of people ask me why I read it if I hate it. I read it to find evidence of why it sucks. There is this scene in Breaking Dawn by that time Bella is a vampire and she lives forever. She uses this to her advantage by having sex with Edward, which she yearned for so long. She says that if she didn't have to look after their child, she would have sex with him forever. Now that is one big reason why Bella, Edward, and Twilight Saga sucks.

Twilight redefines the 'romance' theme with deep and interesting characters. Sure, it may not be entirely original in that Meyer did not create vampires and werewolves, but the point still remains valid.

Vampire Diaries are different from twilight since they have much more suspense and better characters, but I'd say the show is better than the books without a doubt.

I freakin' TOTALLY agree with you, Kobbraful!!! Hellsing is like, my top FAVORITE anime in the world! Alucard is a perfect example, no doubt, of a vampire. For ONE thing, he doesn't freakin' sparkle (who the fuck thought of THAT idea? *sarcasm*). I swear, 'Eddy-kins' is a total DISGRACE to the vampire world. Now I'm NOT saying that Twilight is the most suckiest thing EVER, but I, personally, find it totally offending.

I liked Twilight before the craze and hate Bella because she fails as a main character and is she goes through any of the character development a character must go she fails...the books at are a 4th grade reading level with SAT words sprinkled in it to make it look hard but the plotline is pretty much obvious and predictable. But I am a twilight fangirl and I love their romance so even though I'm contradicting myself, I don't think anyone should hate the series. Just hate the psychotic fangirls

We talk and analyze, we make each other laugh when so many of us are frustrated about these books because, when you're as much of a bookworm as some of us are, no book is "just a book". Twilight is an obvious example of the kind of phenomenons books can create, it's just that in this case, loads of us feel that it's a bad phenomenon.

No - a website which deconstructs our illusory view of a person or thing from a critical stance, it's not adding to the hate in the world, it's enlightening people. I hate the site, if people don't like it then that is up to them you don't have to read or watch it just shut up. It is definately not ridiculess that someone is upset about it when you offended her. Bella is weak in some ways but she is also very strong and saves edward all the time. Edward is not actualy perfect the book is from bella's POV and he has got faults an weaknesses, He may of things that you think he shouln't but they are for her. His weakness is not her scent get your facts strait!

Honestly, the only reason I picked Yu-Gi-Oh was because it was the first thing that I thought of. The fangirls, I admit, are one of the worst thing in the world. And they are insanely outspoken, but there are millions of fangirls on other fan bases, such as Harry Potter for example. The messages in the book do seem to be the dominating reason, and it annoys me to no end that no one has brought them up in an interview with SM. I'm just trying to see things from two point of views.

Every girl I really know LOVES the Twilight series (I think except for 1). Well, some of them haven't read the books, but they love the movies. I've never read it, and I don't want to. So, I can't have an opinion the books, but I did see the the Twilight movie, it was so boring to me, I fell asleep. I didn't even want to see the movie, my aunt did, I didn't have anything better to do. I didn't bother see New Moon.

@Iluvmusicandsugar I know this sounds typical of me because I hate the books, but I think the movies are awful examples of film making. From things like the acting done by both Pattinson and Stewart to the bluish or brownish hues that the makers all seem to be fond of. I remember I couldn't finish watching the first one because the bad editing was irritating me.

I totally agree Twilight sucks. A lot of people ask me why I read it if I hate it. I read it to find evidence of why it sucks. There is this scene in Breaking Dawn by that time Bella is a vampire and she lives forever. She uses this to her advantage by having sex with Edward, which she yearned for so long. She says that if she didn't have to look after their child, she would have sex with him forever. Now that is one big reason why Bella, Edward, and Twilight Saga sucks.

It confuses me WHY there are so many anti-twilight organizations. I mean, I am a big fan of Yu-Gi-Oh, and there are ENORMOUSE amounts of Bakura, Marik, Kaiba, and Yami fangirls, but no really big anti-Yugioh organizations. Then again, I don't think anyone has ever named their kid Seto...
