I think they should do away with food stamp cards period. I you need govt assistance then you can show up once e a week and you will be given the food you need. NO more cards because they buy candy bars, chips, soda, crap!!!. This will never happen because food stamps equal votes for the democratic party. The democratic party takes advantage of poor people by using a food program that is dangerous to the recipients health and bad for America. These poor people are taken advantage of.

Your story about the grocery store reminds me of when I used to be a cashier at a grocery store and we had a woman come through the line and buy about $1000 worth of groceries and paid for it all with her foodstamp card! Now there are times when people genuinely need help such as the town I used to live in where the economy has gotten so bad my friend has been out of work for several years and without food stamps he would starve.

no drug tests, no selling the stamps, and as for buying HEALTHY can't be done around here. My brother is one of these parasites. He's 34 and able bodied, but abuses the system to get food stamps. The worst part about it, he's got money in the bank. He doesn't even need the stamps! At Thanksgiving dinner, he told us he spent $80 of government money to make a "raw" apple pie. When I asked him what his justification, he said " because i'm a good person."
