I love how how this is presented as a narrative and a timeline of finds. The Uluburun shipwreck was 1982, which is 6 years earlier than Korfmann's excavations.
Thank you for posting this fascinating doc. I've been interested since I first saw "In Search of the Trojan War" w/ Michael Wood which is even better, but so much changes in Aegean archaeology in a very short period of time. Check out Manfred Korfmann's site the Troia Project I think that all of you will enjoy that too!
a theory: Troy was like Delphi. it temples loaded with wealth. and the town supporting it full of craftsmen and silver, tin, gold, and ivory. and no doubt slaves were on the Myceneaen shopping list. they stripped Troy of everything!
