...Man it's so hilarious how DIFFERENT Jake is in the Japanese version of Advance Wars Duel Strike... He's much more chill and serious.

Still... I love the Jake we got here. Even if I hate people that say OWNED and stuff, this was hilarious and the first thing I heard him say when he won the first mission in campaign mode.

I always loved his theme but man was I surprised to find out how horrible his dialogue was... And just his overall personality. I was expecting, from the looks of him, a quiet and composed guy with a lot of guts... instead I got "Hurr durr weak sauce, you just got served! Let's rawk!"

Yeah, we got kinda screwed when it came to Jake. In the original he was a serious guy and those headpieces weren't for listening to music, he used them for military communications.

Still, at least his theme is one of the best in Dual Strike alongside Sasha's.

This theme is one of the few (old) Advance Wars themes that doesn't sound too goofy, fun or have a tone that just doesn't fit scores of soldiers fighting and dying on a battlefield. It sounds impressive and a little more militaristic than others. Of course, one with the NA localization only gets the sense that he's a borderline idiot who steps dangerously close to insubordination with his behavior...
