  • I've been looking for them all over Europe and can't find them. Sure there are 501's everywhere but not with anti-fit. Am I doing something wrong? I mean Levi's 501 and Levi's 501 with anti-fit are 2 different models right? please anyone?

  • Yes The RSC has stolen Shakespeare for its own ends. All patrons are encouraged to donate to other more diverse organisations rather than looking at the RSC as the last vestige for the promotion of Shakespearean art. The RSC is inward looking self promoting and exercises exclusion at the highest level and offers no resolution or dialogue which encourages original creativity and understanding to those who once believed that the RSC was the almighty propeller for Mr William Shakespeare,

  • @likebrightmetal You cannot steal from a man who has been dead for at least 100 years

  • this advert is the only reason I read that play.

  • Love this ad, but the only thing that bugs me is that "enthralled" should be 3 syllables in order match the meter - "en-thrall-èd". I'm such a geek :P

  • @SkydiveSabotage But in elizabethan english people used to do this. In the original text it is written "flow'ry bed" for example....

  • @Gaellilouna That's what I mean. Words have syllables both added and removed to fit the meter. In the case of "flowery", one syllable has been removed. For "enthralled", one is added, but it isn't spoken that way in the ad.

  • @SkydiveSabotage Ah then I don't know enought, I am french so I don't know every word I hear and thought "enthralled" was the actual word.

  • Cool guy:

But I will not stir from this place.

    What do you see?

You see an asshead of your own do you.

I will walk up and down here.

    And I will sing.

    Titania:

What angel wakes me from my flowery bed?

  • @tete2brioche78 *asset

  • Cool guy:

That they shall see, I am not afraid.

    Titania:

I pray thee, gentle mortal, sing again:

    Mine ear is much enamored of thy note;

    So is mine eye enthralled to thy shape;

    I love thee.

  • That's Jessica albas brother.

  • Very interesting, but could Titania have acted any more disinterested and bored?

  • If you just can't make enough of an ass of yourself, buy these jeans.

  • .. beautiful prose like this is timeless.

  • looks like HE GOT GAME by Spike Lee

  • has someone got the lycris of this ad?!?!

  • This is so beautiful!

  • That was awesome!!!! Joshua is so HOT!

  • ive wasted about half an hour of my life watching this and i've been inside and outside the ad. I had to do like the longest essay ever on it.

  • This is my favourite advert ever ever. <3

  • I love how this ad is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what the situation is in the play.

  • If I could like your comment a hundred times I would! I think they did it on purpose, though, like an inside joke

  • BOTTOM I see their knavery: this is to make an ass of me; to fright me, if they could. But I will not stir from this place, do what they can: I will walk up and down here, and I will sing, that they shall hear I am not afraid.

TITANIA [Awaking] What angel wakes me from my flowery bed?

  • OMG! I LOVE IT!! HE IS SO HOT!!!

  • I remember this advert! Love it still <33

  • my two favorite things in the world:

    shakespeare and 501's

  • hell yeah! i was totally in this play. Oberon. over 313 lines. memorizations ftw! it was a pain in the ass, but totally worth it.

  • Che tonno!!

  • Does anyone know where the song in the background is taken from?

  • It's a part of a classical music piece by Mendelssohn called "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (which is based on the play as well). It's from the overture I think.

  • hate.

  • Fantastic!

  • i will always love this advert

totally re-egineered Shakespeare and it worked too... best.advert.ever.

I wish I could find other adverts from the antifit campaign, they were all pretty great

  • A Midsummer Night's Dream is my favourite Shakespear play!

  • LOL

shakespeare is rolling in his grave

  • Shakespeare would have loved this. It is through the intervention of the centuries that he has collected his musk of sacredness, but he was of and for the paying masses in his day.

  • NABSSS

  • Thanks for posting this. I've added a link to it on ShakespeareFlix.

  • awsum ad!

  • luv this ad!

  • great advert

  • thats freakin' awesome .

  • this commercial is so weird because this part in the play, Pyramus, the guy, was a donkey and the fairy queen, the girl, was under a spell that made her fall in love with the person she first saw. And so this commercial makes it seem so serious.

  • The vast majority of people wont know that tho! :D

  • yer but that is why its so clever. they take shakespeare and make it serious, they change the context to modern day and therefore the meaning behind it. good stuff i think!

  • Not Pyramus- Bottom.

  • gah. i adore Shakespeare, as do i love jeans. my two favourite things :)

  • Lindo o anuncio mais lindo que algum dia vi

  • That Lady represent the beauty.

  • That girl looks good

  • wot happend to the levi's ads, in the uk anyway; they were just class

  • That guy in the ad is jessica albas brother...

  • brilliant

  • It's ok, but the script needs a bit of polish ;)

  • i adore this advert!!!

  • wow!

    Assssssooooommmee!
