This rejected score is now commercially-available on the limited edition CD "Elmer Bernstein: The Unused Scores" along with his rejected scores for "Gangs of New York" and "The Scarlet Letter" (1995). Interestingly, the final John Barry score for "TSL" was nominated for a Razzie, which makes me wonder if Bernstein's score might had been better had it been used instead?
Sadly Disney wouldn't allow a score to be made. One of the greatest disapointments in my life, that and Nintendo canning the Goldeneye download for 360
I like this song but I'm sort of mystified where it would have been used if used, as when the wolf calls in the final film verison, its really just a sad moment as their adventure together is over, and their is no music. This music though sounds like a compilation of thier jounrey a closure.
Why not have this as the actual movie's score? After all it was the original... and it's great!

This even sounds like typical Bernstein, since some segments here have a Black Cauldron like sound to them.
