I want to die. Mr. Williams came to New York City at Lincoln Center to perform these pieces, and I had to miss out. TICKETS WERE ONLY $50 A SEAT (for the cheaper sections)! I AM SO PISSED! GRR. JW4ev.
I sawWilliams this year direct the SD symph at symphony hallI had shivers when Raiders was playedand he directed the orch to the video. He explained before the orch.played how the musicand the video would work together Chasescenes etc. Then the orch played with the video on the screen.I even yelled YOUR A LEGEND He thanked me as most people looked at me in discussI even held up alighter when the crowd wanted an encore
concert etiquette my ass. in your terms the correct "concert etiquette" is cheering. it only shows how into the performance an audience is and how awesome the music is. have you ever been to a concert and realized how much worse it is when nobody cheers of stands up, its awful. the crowd here is only showing john Williams what an awesome composer he is and if you are stuck back in Bach's day dont talk about concert etiquette here on youtube, lets repeat: life is for living!
fuck you man. they wanna show that they love the movies and the music, so what the heck is wrong about expressing emotion?? oh yeah, i forgot, the lofty concert spectators have no emotion at all...
exactly, this is one of many reasons that classical/orchestrated music is dying with younger generations, quit being a pompous ass and let the music flourish, this is outside, not in some indoor orpheum or other concert hall
Yeah, John Williams and Spielberg combine to make such masterful movies. Regarding the video, I sat all the way in the back, as you've noticed, but it's the music that should be focused on! He did play the Imperial March as one of the encore performances afterwards so I was unable to get that.
Kinda funny how there still seems to be aristocracy in America. in the front sits the rich, in the back sits the simple plebs (like myself). That's why people are hooting and hollering, if you had good seats you wouldn't yell or talk during this performance. Nice to see that music brings us all together, from the rich snobs to the loud, obnoxious folk haha
Music sounds damn good! but I can´t see anything but some li´l orange, red and white dots on the middle of a large black screen! It seems your seats were so far from the stage that u can´t see a damn thing!
John Williams is my Hero

personally, i think that at a concert, it is okay to be enthusiastic, but do not overdo it.

John Williams writes A LOT of the music for Speilberg. That's part of what makes Speilberg movies so incredible.
