Once i heard a rumour,that it were the techno fans, who started to use "Tekno" to distant from the H.C.EDM, they refused generally. What I am Tryin´ to say. Term "Tekno" can not be generalized. It can be seen as umbrella term, as subgroup of rave scene, and of course as genre that, was logical result of fusive experiments of soundsystems. Resumé: In one point of view Tekk is just way, of fusive compostition of EDM, BUT with something specific in it. FREEtekk is FREE, so feel FREE in your opinion

Difficulty to define Tekno,Tekk,hardtekk or whatever you call it.This aspect, is what I was talkin about. from mid-80ies to 90ties, "Techno" was term used in public and daily speech do name, ANY El.Dance music. genre! "Is it electronic? Can you dance to it? Than,it is Techno." Outside the fact, Techno and Tekno is pronounced the same in english, Tekno reffered more to "hardcore and dark" dance music. Even i remeber this usage of "tekno" term, related to Gabba, as little kid from my country.

Second thing. Tekno scene, since very beginnin´ focused to maintain underground of more and more commercialized Rave scene. That incorporated genres , which were not played at charts and fun-fair carnivals. Teknivals incorporates genres,that have little mainstream popularity. often fast/hard EDM. Tekno as genre emerged from fusions of these.You can hear different influences in "tekno" music(yes, also Frecnhcore).Speed is the only limit you have, i guess. That is the beatiful thing about it.

First of all. Frenchcore uses more distortion, not just in beats, but in bass and melodic samples too. It also incorporates industrial sounds, with roots in Industrial Gabba and Agrotech. Frenchore was given rise from hardcore/ Gabba. It one point of view, it can be seen as "French version of Gabba".
