  • hmmm not bad but I prefer the original

  • This song is magical<3

  • Lydia's photo really should be the image for this video..!

  • Wow, this sounds so boring. I prefer WEEP's cover.

  • Love, love, love the Shroud!

  • Nice work .Thanks for sharing.

  • i forking love this song, i play it all day long haha

  • God that girl is so pretty!!

  • Great great cover!! But you should put Lydia. Anyway this version is just fantastic!

  • this does no justice to the true one and that's what makes it so good; it could never be duplicated , but there are good covers out there and i don't think this is a well thought out one, no creativity , just a copy.

  • sweet diese cover von bauhaus was übrigens mein lieblings song ist von ihnen daum hoch so süß

  • Digging the use of the spooky echoing from the instrumentation. Lydia's vocals doesn't sound as strong as Peter Murphy's while singing it. I'm so so with this cover. Can't actually say I don't like it or hate it. Better done Bauhaus cover i've heard in awhile tho. :)

  • Lydia has good voice, but sorry to say that, in my eyes this cover version is a big fail in my ears, but still better than most other cover songs i heard

  • @Eisregen123 Very true, this does no justice to the true one and that's what makes it so good; it could never be duplicated , but there are good covers out there and i don't think this is a well thought out one, no creativity , just a copy.

  • Nice, but soulless

  • Ya the Passion of Covers is great the best part about it is the motion cover of Nosferatu.

  • her voice is so erotic!!! shes a stunner!

  • It needs more kick. I think this is a man's song to sing.

  • Is the girl from the vid the singer of The Shroud? -sorry, I've just discovered them-

And, by the way, in which album is this song?

  • @AsH3SaNdDuST: No, that is just some random photo of an emo girl. Use Google image search with keywords "the shroud" " Lydia Fortner," as the singer is Lydia Fortner. Cheers.

  • @77RamonesCramps oooh, thank you for taking the time and answer my question ;)

  • @77RamonesCramps Why did you took a photo of an emo girl? Just asking...

  • @616Metalprincess616: This vide was not created by me. It is a repost of a video made by someone else. The emo girl in the video is not Lydia Fortner, the lead singer of The Shroud.

  • @AsH3SaNdDuST yes, she is, and her name is LYDIA FORTNER

  • @AsH3SaNdDuST no, she is an emo girl, lol, the vocalist is LYDIA FORTNER, they have 4 records: DROWNING DREAMS (1992), LONG AGO AND FAR AWAY (1996), A DARK MOON NIGHT (1998), and the last one IN THE GARDEN (2001)

  • I like this , is not easy to make Bauhaus covers, its good!!!!

  • Very nice. One of the rare Bauhaus covers that doesn't make my heart weep. If only it had a little more "passion", especially in the last 20 sec...

  • not a bad cover, the band has ability. but lacks, the passion.

  • sounds like mazzy star doing bauhaus....the music sound great....the best cover I have heard of this song... ( and a female singing it too)...

  • picked up Passion of Covers, the Bauhaus tribute album at a swap meet for a buck. Best dollar ever spent.

  • @Tronyc714: Awesome! If you get the chance, please post some songs from that record and let me know about it!

  • I don't like cover vsns at all, but this one is really great........

  • Great cover, I hate cover versions but this one is really good......

  • Phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal.

  • Very unforgettable cover....

  • i hope this band prevails there isnt enough gothic music in this world i suppose it might be cleche to say but goth is undead

  • una cancion magica y deliciosa

  • go to agree with AlienZygote010, this version sears with...uh passion!

  • this song is just so ethereal i like this more better than the original its smoother so glad The Shroud rebanded

  • i still think Drowning dream is a classic,

    songs like

    when flower falls,

    turn turn away,

    and kiss of death

  • Perhaps it is blasphemy but as much as I love Bauhaus I actually prefer The Shroud's cover

  • That's because Lydia is a Goddess!! :)

  • Awesome Cover! I agree with the OP. i don't like covers much period! but the Shroud pulls this one off beautiful!I used to jam to this in the late 90's! memoriesss *sigh*
