Oh what a time "true" soul singer greats like Linda Jones must be having where ever they are. It seems that they are all going away, but I hope that we will be hearing their music for years to come.
I can just imagine what a time they must be having. I wish that I had been around to actually see Linda Jones in concert. I'm told by family member of that generation that the concerts were absolutely soulful.
I have EVERYTHING except this one, THANK YOU for posting it. I've had it in my favorites for 1 year, but could not compose myself long enough to leave a message. I LOVE TO HEAR THIS WOMAN SING...I have several stories about meeting her, and hearing her sing that are entirely too numerous for this page.
No one quite like the great Linda Jones! The Heartstoppers also did a great version of this cut for All-Platinum Records.Album and 45 r.p.m. are a little tough to find though.
I know the shaking feeling. The 1st time I heard a Linda Jones record I was 11. She had been dead 6 yrs. I am 40 now, and have been listening 2 and loving her music since. Some songs --tho I've heard them 1000 times- still give me the shakes, (and I'm otherwise quite macho.)( smile)
I would love to sample this track! Omg this song give me chills

Why does it say at the top, "Favorited 0 times". I know I sent it to my favorites the day I saw it posted. That's got to be at least 1 time.

Every time I've listened to this song, I've wondered why it didn't sell at least 5,000,000 copies. Somethings in life just ain't fair!

I honestly believe if Linda Jones had lived, she would have surpassed Aretha, Gladys and any other female singer of her time.
