  • Oh man, I felt like I died and went to vinyl heaven! I will have to ask my parents to take me there. I'll have to ask them to empty the truck first!

  • Not to mention, uh, can the workers use their downtime to actually ORGANIZE the place? Would that be too much to ask the lazy cats to do?

  • Big problem with this place - the vinyl is HORRIBLY organized - in fact using the word "organized" is not fair to the word.

  • Wow I love it!! Wish they had a store like that in NYC! You could pick me up some orig label 50's records in that 10 cent bin anytime, anything early rock or doo woppy... lol, early 60's too y not! there's a few connie francis I don't have.. lol! Thanks for the shout out!

  • Man!! I could tell that store, just from the stairwell, was going to be awesome!!!! I will be up in the Columbus area soon..where is this store located????

  • Hey there. They are at 1980 N. High St. Heart of OSU campus. North of the McDonalds. Have a great time there!! This is truely a fantastic record shop!!

  • Thanks a lot. I live Near St Louis and I am going to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame soon. I plan on going through Columbus and I'm gonna check out a few stores. So far I have Used Kids, Singing Dog, Magnolia, Lost Weekend, Elizabeth's Records, and Johnny Go's House O' Music. Are there any other stores you suggest I make sure to hit? Any of these should I just flat out avoid?

    Thanks

  • I've not heard of Elizabeth's. I'll have to look for that one. The first 4 are the best. Magnolia's is basically out my front door! Colleen's Collectables is another, but you should call first to see if she's open. She runs the record show here in town. Johnny O's I've not been to, so can't share anything on that one. Ur going to have a great time!!

  • this is also my favorite record store in columbus, i shop here all the time!!

  • Rock On JM!! Hands down the best store in the city!! We're so lucky!!

  • What a bummer! So many independant stores have closed. Very sad state of affairs. I'm really lucky to have a few in my town. You can bet I do my best to keep them going!!

  • Camera Obscura is a great band. I love "Lloyd I'm Ready To Be Heartbroken". I like Used Kids but I'd shop there more if he put the spendy stuff up for sale in the store before posting it on Ebay. My favorite store here is Lost Weekend but I also shop at Memory Lane, Singing Dog and Magnolia Thunderpussy. My Favorite store ever closed last year, Zero Street Records in Omaha and if you are ever in that area, check out Kanesville in Council Bluffs IA. Oh, and The Record Exchange in St. Louis is A+!

  • Hi Poppa, I like Lost Weekend a lot. The only thing is he doesn't get country records very often. I'm not familiar with Memory Lane. I'll have to check it out. Also, don't forget Sour Records in Westerville! Take Care!

  • Memory Lane is only open Sat. from noon to 5 but you will definitely find a TON of country in there. You owe it to yourself to go. Nothing is priced but don't let it scare ya, he's really fair. I picked up a nice copy of Marty Robbins "More Gunfighter Ballads..." for 5 bucks if I remember right.

  • Most definitely I'll check it out! Thanks Poppa!

  • HEAVEN!

  • OMG, RAYMOND!!! I think the free bin is such a FABULOUS idea! I love the place! I am gonna have to make a weekend trip one day JUST to visit you so you can take me here! I could actually spend a weekend in this place! 10 CENTS 45's! I'd be insane. THANK YOU for sharing this place!! I thoroughly enjoyed this!

  • Hey Tink, any time! My house is always opened to ya! We can have a record binge weekend! Too FUN!! Bring Chris too! LOL
