I would have to say catchy songs are popular because they are catchy... Im not saying you can't make catchy songs that mean anything, but it's usually harder to do and the popular artists today dont like to put effort into things. If you look really hard you may be able to find one.

My first book is like a butterfly being hit by a train. Beautiful, until you look at it long enough to see it die tragically. I have major edits to do, which is why I'm using Sara Six Strings to get my agent.
