Are you guys stupid? It says best pitchers of 2010 not 2011, I hate to break it to you but verlander wasn't amazing last year, but Josh Johnson was actually really good. And no I'm not from Florida I'm from texas. And so you know carpenter wasnt that good either or wainwright, they were average. Next time read the title before you comment. Imbeciles.
No wainwright or Carpenter? and why the fuck is verlander not top 3? i wouldn't even put ubaldo in the top 10 either josh johnson is a possible top 7 not number 1..
10) Clayton Kershaw 9)Ian Kennedy 8) Felix hernadez 7) Cliff lee 6)cole hamels 5) c c sabathia 4) Josh Johnson 3) Tim Lincecum 2) Roy Halladay 1) Justin verlander
this guy knows nuthin bout mlb my top 10 10 clayton kershaw 9 jered wever 8 felix hernandez 7 zack grenkie 6 cliff lee 5 ian kennedy 4 josh johnson 3 cc sabathia 2 roy halladay 1 justin verlander
Looking at a perspective from last year, I probably would have done Halladay 1 and Johnson 2, but they are great choices. Good list overall. A few people who I think could be on there as well: Tim Hudson, maybe Greinke, and maybe Johan Santana.
@Purpleeagle231I agree verlander halladay cliff n cc r up there but I'm not seein them other guys. They're all great pitchers but some of em like Johnson aren't up there. He only has a great ERA cuz he throws wht 98 n no1 can c it let alone hit it. N let's not forget, doc halladay threw a PERFECT GAME against Johnson. N where the he'll is lincecum in ur top 6 he won back to back cy young awards tht means somethin man. Idk if u feel tht Johnson is in the top 3 cuz mayb ur a marlins fan but I thi
Srry to tell u this man but halladay n lincecum r a lot better thn Josh Johnson n Jimenez ubaldo can throw hard but u can easily hit him same wit Johnson halladay has terrific movement n accuracy n lincecum is just on his own planet
jurrjens is the best pitcher in the MLB at the moment, his numbers (exept for strike outs) are unbelievable, and who sais you need 100+ K's to be a great pitcher? what he's doing is working fine for him.... also I believe kershaw deserved a spot in there but oh well
@GreatnessHD You're not saying much. Remember he plays for the Marlins. I'm a Marlins fan and I'm telling you that we don't usually let pitchers complete a game. Even if he's struck out 26 batters going into the 9th we will put in a reliever. Once again he plays for the Marlins. 15 wins for a Marlins pitcher is great. I'm telling you if he goes off to play for a team like the Red Sox or the Yankees or the Giants etc, people will see that he is the best in the Majors.
Have yall noticed there is a lot of big names leaveing baseball in the last 10 years... I will miss Andy Pettitte,John Smoltz,Randy Johnson,Kenny rodgers so on and so forth all those guys i loved to watch play guys now day havent lived up to those names i don't know been thinking about this for awhile....
Your comment is completely ridiculous, record hardly matters when deciding who's the 'better pitcher.' While Halladay has improved to 14-8 now, it's extremely hard to argue against even basic stats like WHIP and ERA. Sabathia's a good pitcher, but he's not really the guy he was in 2008.
Cliff Lee is having a fantastic season and should soon lock up the AL Cy Young. He's walked 9 batters all season A 15.2/1 k/bb rate. With a 10-5 record, he has a paltry 2.57 ERA and 0.93 WHIP.
im not agree 1.- Josh Johnson 2.- Adam Wainwright 3.-Jaime Garcia 4.-Roy Halladay 5.-Cliff Lee 6.-CC Sabathia 7.-Ubaldo Jimenez 8.-David Price 9.-Phil Hughes 10.-Johan Santana
@Garreton21 ur kidding me right? u wouldnt even bother to throw lincecum into top 10? the kids a fuckin beast, look at his Career ERA for his first 3 years in MLB
