  • dude, respects to you coz i just built my first cbg 4 string. been playing for years on factory builds.

but dude, why the dodge? how much money can you hope to make posin' as an ol' bluesman and not giving the knowledge up for free ?

if the new currency is the same as the old currency what hope is there?

  • @journey46 Bruce thanks for the comment but "why the dodge" - sorry you lost me there. Not trying to make any money just showing what can be done with a box a stick and strings, trying to entertain and inspire others to have a go at expressing their creativity too. As for giving it up for free - you'll see I have put several vids on here about tuning etc to help others and I also have a blog about cbgs which are entirely free of course.

  • awsome

  • Kicks ass man, my respects.

  • Awsome

  • Fantastic.

  • i really liked your rockin' cigar box guitar : )

  • nice!

  • Yeah yeah you are smokin!

  • truly magnificent... thank you

  • wow the tone on that thing is crazy

how does it have such a big sound

  • You can do a lot with the amp settings.

  • What do you use for a pickup?

  • A piezo ceramic disk. Some guys rip them out of buzzers but mine are just disks.

  • where can u get these at

  • Well I have a couple for sle but at present am only shipping in the UK. There are quite a lot of good builders in the U.S.A.you can find them on Ebay or try the new website for CBGs at cigarboxnation

  • radio shack my man

  • Wow that sounded awsome ..Great stuff man

  • that thing sounds pretty cool.

  • s*@t man, watched all your videos with the nastiest blues grin, that stuffs downholme baby. keep them blues alive.awesome.

  • cool, thanks for the compliment I'll do my best

  • A harry manx poser!

  • Pure Sweet Funky

  • Cool! This thing realy rips up those chords! Ive gota a ackoestic one with a spring on top to make a distortion sound. Less vollume but lots of reverb and screaming :P

    Keep the cbg alive!

  • Thanks - I'm intrigued by the spring thing on yours, care to explain a bit more please.

  • The spring is set up at the top's centre and screwed on to the top tight so it rings with the strings and make the little box vibrate harder. If you loosen it you get more of a reverb (echo) sound and tightend it distorts because the spring rings at a frequentie of its own. :) Yw

  • Any chance of sending or attaching a photo of it. I still can't figure it exactly.

  • I sent you an email with a link of a photograph of it, sorry about the photosize but if you blow it up a little you can see the spring just fine.

  • wow man!!
