Had the same thing done to me when I broke my wrist, weights and all. This guy yells a lot. It's really not as bad as he's making it seem. The most painful part is having your fingers in that trap thing cause it feels like a cheese grate on your fingers. >_< The reduction part is 3-4 big pushes that suck, but aren't the worst thing in the world.

I, like you was able to marry the love of my life and we enjoyed 24 years of wonderful married life together. She passed away three years ago, but I will always remember her walking down the aisle as beautiful as ever (even waked out on pain medication). just fractured my wrist..both bones.shot me up but did work so well.they put me in that finger deal didnt hurt too bad but was little success.then...they did a closed fracture reduction.hurt soooooo bad.felt the bone pop.i had to have it reduced again at the ortho then cased.doc sais it looks pretty good so hopefully the bones dont slip.

yeah i snapped my wrist in half on a skate boar and it hurt extremely bad so i feel yah when it came to the pain buddy. im not rubbing it in but they put me out to reset my wrist i didnt have to use that contraption they used on you. looked painful bud, good job hanging in there. congrats also!
i guess when they did close reduction and application of external fixator you were put to sleep(sedated).the first procedure was probably your choice to undergo close reduction under local infiltration right?
one more thing i broke my left wrist on friday the 13th and i chipped the bone broke it and fractured, i was wondering will i have surgery?? the break is pretty bad, and my doctor said if i break it again which i did, i will hve surgery
My best guess is yes yu will have surgery. I am very glad I had mine. Had I just been relaeased with a cast I would not have the same wrist as I do now. It would be much worse.

They wheel you into the anethsesia room and they say we are going to give you something that will put you to sleep and you say when and they say now but you don't hear hem because you are already out. And then you wake up like no time has passed at all and the surgery is done. It is very weird, but in the end nothing to be afraid of. The pain from the srews is intense but not nearly as painful as the physical therapy.
Hurts a little. Once the needle for the IV is in it is sore only if you accidentally hit it. Otherwise you'll see that the actual pain is much easier to deal with than the fear of the pain.

The pins were in for 8 weeks. Then the rehab lasted about 8-10 weeks. And another 6-18 months to get back to 100%
Watch the wrost part 3 where they take the pins out, it is rough, but educational.
Don't worry dude, it is all doable, just gotta be patient and DO the Rehab!

when u broke ur wrist did it feel funny or did it just hurt badly straight up? because my wrist felt funny because i tried to pick my brother up and he is twice the size of me and i collapsed and he landed on my wrist and bent it right back.

yup, nerve damage, I had that too but more local, my pinkie and ring fingers are still numb, takes a while but eventually it does heal. I had a buddy who was numb whiole arm too. Hope ya healed up good :)

i just broke mine really bad and im only 15. the growth plate slipped out of place and ended up in my forearm and my wrist was a mess.
