Loved the harmonica - and a great song - I'm from Wales and we sing this all the time after Rugby games - I feel so broke up I wanna go home !! 5 stars!!
I didn't think I'd heard this one and then I remembered it. I've never seen a harmonica that big before I like the way you sound single clear notes instead of full chords on it. You sing some unusual songs which add some additional interest to You Tube. Thanks dude.
It's a German harmonica, maker Hohner single-sided Hohner Comet. It's a 40 note octave-tuned in the key of C. unlike the blues harps that you see most people playing that has 10 holes, this has 2 row of 20. The top row is double reeds, this is like have a 12 string guitar, and very good for Irish music and folk.
my dad gave my first harmonica when I was 7; you can do anything with time just go for it. let YouTube Teach you how "Harmonica Lessons : Harmonica Lesson" Thank for the kind comment by the way.
"The Wreck of the Sloop John B" is a sea shanty first heard by Lee Hays (of The Weavers) when he was down in Nassau. He actually rescued it from otherwise obscurity by collecting it. Brian Wilson brought it to a new level.
Alex, you are perpetuating the song for the up and coming generation by way of your straightforwad, sensitive and pure presentation here. I am accompanying you on my Deering five string banjo.
Thank you for the extra information about the song... I'm very happy that you liked it and can play along to it. Another excellent positive comment. Thank you.

Very nice, Alex. I like the harmonica...wish I could play it.
I really like songs that tell stories, especially when it's a part of history like this.
