Picking a colour is the hardest part of Magic :) Best thing to do is go buy a booster, there should be cards from all colours in there(only had one booster that didnt, no blacks :( ) Just read a few of em and whatever looks appealing go with it, I know a few people who do this for new deck ideas. I've always been a Black/Green guy myself, I built up a deck based around summoning heaps of small creature quickly, then sacrificing them to get big one out

there is no max amount but you don't want it to be too big or too small. I like to have around 40 (give or take) creatures, spells, and artifacts in total. then i'd add maybe 11-14 corresponding lands. for a total of around 60 which is my deck size. Hope this helped

Green Black and Red would be just fine. Just make sure that you have around 60 cards and you can develop a theme around them. You could start by throwing red spells to speed it up and then work your way up to green to trample the enemy

That's right. See how at the top it has the symbols for two swamps, and then before it is 1, that means you can tap any land, be it swamp, mountain, island, plains, in order to summon that creature.

The symbols in the top right corner of the card indicate its mana cost - the card shown has a "1" and two Skulls. The skulls represent mana gained from swamps (black lands) specifically while the 1 (or any other number) represents colourless mana - that is to say it can come from any land be it a swam, mountain, plains, island or forest.

Question guys- I picked up one of these premade decks and its cool and all but it seems impossible to start another deck without buying another pemade deck. Because boosterpacks are all mixed so i can only use like 1 or 2 cards for my deck and the rest are fire or whatever else i dont use. So should i just buy a premade deck of every theme then buy boosters?
