I google Vegas pro 8 and did some reading on what you will be able to do with the program. It sure indeed look very promising and professional.BUT hey WAF US$549.95. That's fare too pricey for me and many other I believe. So the question is, is't really worth spending that kind of money for yotube videos.Why would any average home user do hard editing on there home movies. There ain't any different how i turned it, still my conclusion are big waste of money.
he was merely stating the software he personally uses, but I asked him mainly for what codec to use to make rendering time faster, which it's probably about the same in all of them.
If you're interested in the vegas editor, theres a consumer edition for $75 or the step up that supports hd for $115.
I prefer the adobe products myself cause I'm more familiar with them. If you want something good for youtube, preiere elements runs about $100 and has an upload tool directly to youtube.

I use Vegas pro 8 for editing. I like it better than all the others. I also render in AVC codec variable double pass. You can do it in 640 x 480 for higher quality vids on YT now :) Thanks and I'm glad you like the videos.I've got more on the way along with a huge announcement!
