Slavery was a monstrous thing, especially at the hands of supposedly civilized people using sophisticated egalitarian ideals to justify their rule. It was complete hypocrisy. You have to understand that to get the full impact of the crime.

White men of that time participated yes, but if you research who permitted it, it was the black man whow were selling to jewish merchant. That is my point.
