Great song! We can probably thank the Littleton Massacre for the fact that nobody's ever heard of it. (I think this is the only version on YouTube, but I could be wrong.)

The Littleton Massacre occurred 20 April 1999; this album, "Beautiful Midnight" was being recorded between February and April 1999. Perhaps it's the inspiration for the song, as well?

FWIW, the US version of this album censored the title of this track to "Boy and His ------- ---".

This is one of Matthew Good Band's hardest songs to find, and to me is Mattthew's best of all. You need to buy the album "Beautiful Midnight", Matt's best albunm in my opinion.

Seriously, you are a wizard. You have taken one of my favorite characters of all time and made him into an abusive lover. If this were done poorly it would be heresy but you have crafted something wonderful. It is a work of art on its own. This vid stands alone. It would actually be more moving if the viewer had never seen firefly. You are a true storyteller. Your quality work is marvelous.

This was a great find for me! This morning, I was looking for some Rayne videos, but I didn't find any really great ones. Then, at about noon, I switched over to watching Matthew Good Band music videos. When I started looking for A Boy and His Machine Gun, this popped up, and I squee'd! This is so amazingly done.
