  • Good One..Specially female voice

  • They are absolutely brilliant at combining the Swedish and Finnish lyrics !

  • absolutely love this... a very great find

  • SUPERB ..ASTONISHING AND MESMERISING MUSIC. SAD THAT TAMIL MD YUVAN COPIED THIS AND DID NOT GIVE ANY CREDITS. SHAME ON U YUVAN. INDIAN MUSIC IS ASHAMED OF YOU

  • @karthik4salu i know!! it is very shameful!

  • this song is blatantly ripped off by yuvan shankar raja in kadhal kondein as kaadhal mattum purivathillai.....shameful!!!!

  • @rajacacs i know!! i came to know very recently. how did you come to know about this song/

  • (where was that channel that described this group?! )Finnish? Swedish? English lyrics scarey as hell...gotta admit I love this song and it draws you right into it. Is this group truly not togther any longer? What a shame that would be.

  • @laelamarie1

This group is swedish but the two female singers are finnish, that's why most of the lyrics are in finnish instead of swedish. I think the lyrics describes an old mythical woman that lived in the forest and (where I'm from) she is described to have the tail of a fox and sometimes she was good and sometimes evil, she also tried to seduce men in the forest haha. don't think the group plays together as much anymore tho, but they went a tour as late as 2007 =)

  • @RusiaDelDemonio thank you for your response.. such a great song....probably describes most women!!! HA!

  • @laelamarie1 So you're saying most women have the tail of a fox :) or the good and evil part?

  • @ralphyboy25 HAHAHA - metaphorically the fox - always the good/evil....:)))

  • @laelamarie1 haha true! ;)

  • wonderfull

  • mesmerising music ever heard by me . astonished and spellbound.............

  • I'm so happy that I found this song. I didn't think typing 'scandinavian fox woman song' into google would work xD

  • increibles

  • The first time I heard this song I was wearing headphones, in the dark of night. I was listening to a high quality CD recording, not the compressed audio of a MP3.

I was blown away by all the textures of the (old and new) instruments, and the multi-layering of sounds and voices. When Sanna started singing the chorus in my right ear, I realized this is something totally different, and fantastic .. and that I must seek out and discover more Hedningarna music..I strongly recommend headphones

  • @ralphyboy25 I totally agree! Allthough I jumped a bit in my chair when Sanna sang :P

  • Fuck the mainstream. This is real music.

  • @Mortarion83 you're absolutely right, that's the music to live for ^^

  • I LOVE this band! Too bad they're not really together anymore :(

This album and Hippjokk are my faves!

  • Damn yuvan shankar raja... You used this in kathal konden.

  • @shankarsway

u knew about hedningarna all the while is it ?

  • @kribha22

this song came by when i was looking for some other song and shocked. Watch this watch?v=P-2WXJJP0SA ...Then you know. Sheer copy right violation

  • @shankarsway

you are damn right..why that slimy copy cat..

  • vijayaraj83: This song is in Swedish.

  • can anyone tell me what language is this song from?...Nice one

  • @vijayaraj83

The men sing in Swedish, the women in Finnish (quite a beautiful tongue)

  • amazing

  • Does anyone know where I can find an accurate English translation for this song?

  • From me =)

  • wild and dangerously beautiful you are

your skirt barely hides your tail

    luring deeper into the forest,

with your crazy wild animal dance

just when your clothes have fallen,

and your naked body i have seen,

you laugh and open your jaw,

gives me deep bites of love.

  • above is verse 2, this is chorus, and under is verse 1:

rise now lust and rave desire

rush on upwards, sup in birchstem

rise without a word of witchcraft

rush without a rune of making!

  • @Ainhoa1666 What an incredible song. And thank you for the translation.

How ever it seems that the multi part messages did not end up in the intended order (a common problem with the 'Tube), so I just want to clarify:

1st verse (in Swedish): 'red lips ...'

chorus (in Finnish): 'rise now ...'

2nd verse (in Swedish): 'wild and ...'

  • verse: 1:

    red lips hide your teeth

and your tongue is so coarse

fire and frost are in your eyes

are you a woman or a fox?

wild and sly you hunt in the night

your mouth is red with blood
