I suspect it's a "rarity," either an outtake from "Grace" or an early demo, etc. He does, however, sing a similar version of this song on "Live at Sine," the live album he did before "Grace." It's also really good ... the entire album is, actually. Just Jeff and his guitar ...

When I first heard Jeff yrs ago, it was like a bolt of lightening hit me that was the voice I'd been waiting to hear my whole life. Instint love! When he passed I felt my throat was cut. Jeff Buckley was all I ever needed! I'm a guy but if I knew him I would of been his greatest groupie without the sex, cause were not gay. Jeff want me to carry your equipment, buy you dinner, drive you here and there, take you home after a gig, no problem! I woulda been to every one if he let me.

@BornThrice It's the theme song from a 1987 Movie: Bagdad Cafe written by Bob Telson. Originally sung (in the movie) by Jevetta Steele, it was later covered by Barbra Streisand. Both have the haunting harmonica theme performed by Will Galison. Jeff Buckley has a nice version but you really have to hear the original and then Streisand's version with the original harmonicist. Jeff Buckley changes it a bit too much. Many others (mostly women) recorded it too from Celine Dion to Patty Austin.

I am right there with ya man. I had lost all faith in people when I was a teenager. Found Mr. Buckley here about a year ago... compleatly changed my life. I was broken and thought I could never be fixed. Smashed to peices with no glue. Jeff figured out a way to put me back together and, he didn't even know it. Years after he had died he saved some lonely kids life.

I hear what you're saying about it not being the same, but I truly believe that any recording of Jeff, perfect or not, is a gift to the world. And, indeed a legacy.
