Alice in Chains had always been my favorite band until a couple days ago when I started to listen badly to Pearl Jam - they did a show last week here in Porto Alegre, Brazil. It was by far the best show I've ever been to - even better than their first coming to Brazil in 2005. Now I am sure enough to say PJ is the best band EVER and that these guys are amazingly talented. Long live Pearl Jam, you are incredible together.

Actually Ten was extremely overrated. Pearl Jam didn't begin the process to becoming one of the most influential, accomplished and legendary rock bands of all-time until Vs., and to a greater extent Vitalogy. Yield and the latest release are all better than Ten. And I expect this years offering to be the same.

I couldn't disagree more. Ten and Versus are about even in fact I really couldn't choose between the two. After that they started going down hill, Vitalogy was good but not great. After that each album had some good songs but they just aren't the same anymore.

For me, I thought Binaural was their best, and Ten is their worst. Don't get me wron, it's a great album, but they improved with every release up until Binaural. Riot Act was a bit better than Vitalogy and S/T ties with Yield IMO.

I think Binaural would've been just as good as their recent album, but the production quality makes the songs sound really empty, giving the feeling that that particular album never lifts off the ground. The songs were great live, but something about the way they recorded it, it didn't suit me, it's my least favortie.
