i find it hilarious that everyone thinks he is dam redlining the thing driving it here. if you really think he is running the rpms to high enough to damage it your out of your mind.
The one thing you shouldn't do in a new vehicle is Keep it at a high rpm for long periods of time! Its more common sense then skill though. Sorry about the rude comments! I have such a passion for mustangs it hurt me to c this...
@daddyd666 the unit you are seeing is a pre-production tester that had already done several thousand miles. Revving the engine won't hurt it, and there's a warranty if it does. As journalists on a pre-launch test-drive, revving the engine was part of the vehicle's evaluation. Thanks for watching.
It's a good example of how NOT to drive a manual transmission car!! Is that all you do is test drive new cars and drive them horribly on video?? Douche!
@daddyd666 lets see a video of YOU driving a manual transmission car then. or maybe you could explain what you see that's 'wrong' here. I'm sure me and the other commenters would be interested to see.
@daddyd666 Owner's manual page 5: "Your vehicle does not need an extensive break-in. Try not to drive continuously at the same speed for the first 1,000 miles (1,600 km) of new vehicle operation. Vary your speed frequently in order to give the moving parts a chance to break in. Drive your new vehicle at least 100 miles (160 km) before performing extended wide open throttle maneuvers and at least 1,000 miles (1,600 km) before towing a trailer or before performance/competition conditions."
@spencermel i actually dont mind the solid rear axel, keeps it cheap, and its going back to the roots of original mustangs! Ford keeps it really classic!
@NitroGadvRules i agree with Ford keeping things down to a simple math. They havent tampered or experimented with the Mustang in anyway with its suspension...i feel if they did add IRS that would jack the price up and defeat the "affordable sports car" theme they had for all of these years. If its not broke dont fix it.
This video is flagged because its wack.

Wonder what car he is chasing? Looks like that new mustang blue, but possibly a 370z?
bigdog1250 1 year ago
@bigdog1250 one second it looked like a mustang, then the next time I saw it the top was fat like a 370.

@6UNLEASHED it needs corvette rear end and double wishbone set up,then would be a real weapon on the track!
spencermel 1 year ago
@6UNLEASHED it outperforms most independent rears as well and handles abuse much better.

@spencermel read some reviews of how that *medieval* rear suspension actually performs, especially with the track pack and brembo brake packages.

@spencermel You probably mean medieval. Yes it does. But it handles really well.

sounds really good, cant imagine what it will be like with AM exhaust.
I gota say.. It hard to believe i actually have real serious interest in the new 5.0.
This car will be serious with a blower and headers.
FORD FINALLY understood, you gota make great engines no matter what.
And although the 5.0 shouldve had direct injection, its still a tour de force.
