I'm sorry but.. you are mistaken.. You have to realize that the two units, dollars and cents, and 100 unit places different. This means that 1 dollar = 100 cents. What you said at the end of your post

is wrong, because, taking from what I established at the beginning, you must multiply the $ amount by 100 to equal the cent amount. Hence making $.002 = .00002 cents.
