  • Lat Video please dude! I'm thinking pull ups for pre fatigue. Reverse close grip lat pull downs for isolation, and wide grip lat pull downs holding it for 3 seconds after every pull for a compound movement. There would be 3-5 sets of that circuit

  • dumbell chest press isn't isolation its still a concentric movement. I believe the dumbell works more of the stabilitory muscles so you can go heavier on the barbell press movements. Both are efficent

  • no it doesnt matter, hand grips and bars on the ground are usually so that you can get a deeper push up

  • 6 sets of all 3 exercises? so, combined you're doing 192 reps of pushups, 48 reps of inclined presses, and 36 reps of declined flys? doesn't this seem like the muscle is being over worked?

  • Those pushups arent ment to be done until failure, just until INITIAL failure. As a pre-fatigue movement.

  • it may be temporary overload but it does the trick! I use this every three or four weeks to mix up heavy weight workouts and your pecs (and triceps) will be NUMB trust me....

    of how i do it. i have my seperate flat chest days and incline/decline chest days. flat chest days = an that is considered flat chest workout and vice versa with incline/decline.

    although you can do benchpress for warming up

  • okay i am a starting weightlifter, my bicep is 15 inches around, but i sorta dont have any chest at all, i tried this, but i can only complete 2 rounds, its embarrasing, is this norma;? and when will i improve?

  • do what i did and try to knock down the weight until you can complete all six supersets. on my sixth set is was pathetic as well, I barely finished...but I finished is what counts...

  • #1-you're a beginner

    #2-it's not embarrassing

    #3-it's normal

    #4-you'll improve when YOU improve

    #5-never set a time limit...you'll eventually get there. everyone's body builds differently

  • im 19 and been weighlifting for 8-9months, i can bench 85kg for 10-12 reps. for me i find different things work for different people, dont just try this exercise before deciding if its right for you. take a little wonder into different techniques etc. part 1/2

  • I can't do that 32 elevated pushups after my first set, should I just do as many as i can or do them with me knees on the bench? =o

  • That exercise is designed to pre-fatigue your pecs and anterior delts so do as many pushups up until the point of initial fatigue, then stop and move onto the next exercise.

  • I don't think my comment went through. I am trying this work out, but after a few sets, I am having muscle failure earlier than some of the minimum reps you recommend. Should I keep doing this the best I can or try to come back to it later?

  • lol this is almost exactly the same as the chest workout that i crafted for myself, i use dumbells for the incline though cause i have no spotter. it's working well.

    I am training already almost 2 years bodybuilding. I have just tryed this workout for chest the last monday and i must say, its really effective. I was really speechless the next day, when i noticed the muscle pump. This is a good training method with first prefatigue muscle and then intensive.

    How could i do this with back muscle and legs. What exercise could i do first for prefatigue the back muscle ? Could you make a back workout with triceps maybe ? Thank you

  • Why does my left interior deltoid hurt when I do incline bench? It doesn't fatigue, it hurts after the 3rd-4th rep.

  • Because when doing incline ur involving the delts the higher the incline.

  • Just by doing the push ups on this video is enough to maintain quite a chest and if you're adding a controlled and well-executed presses, I think it's possible to see the improvement in 1-2 weeks' time given a good amount of rest and food. (Don't forget those 15 grams of protein)

  • going into my freshman year of high school, i was 95 lbs and could barely bench the bar 5 times. but i bought an exercise machine used it, sold it, and now i have a bench press and i started taking whey protein and i gained 10 pounds in muscle in a week just by taking that and working out more. i can now do over double what i could b4. any other tips on getting muscle fast?

  • increasing 10 lbs muscle in a week is impossible, that change comes from the cells binding more water.

  • pre-fatiguing means you have to lower the weight you can lift for the next exercise right? you won't be able to lift what you usually do to failure on the 8th rep if you've done 32 press-ups beforehand. so obviously that's given the muscle a good run but isn't lowering the weight you're lifting going to lessen mass increase? albeit in favour of getting more ripped...
