Clearly the video is doctored, watch how many times it jumps. There really are bad guys in law enforcment out there, you should try picking a better target.
@TruJusticeO9 Doctored? Try enhanced. It zooms in to give the viewer a closer look. I wish I knew how to change a the position of a moving vehicle in a video; I would be in Hollywood right now, not trying to make local cops look like inattentive drivers LMAO! But if you would like a copy of the raw footage: matt@CFJComo.com.
He is a public servant and therefore working for the government and liable for all code/law violations he commits, as would the average citizen. He should be leading by example, but he is violating that authority, thus he should be disciplined according to the laws he violated. Of course, this only applies if he actually broke any of the highway code.
@SharpAirsoft If reading a call on his computer causes that type of driving, maybe the officer should pull over somewhere and do that. I'm sorry you feel that we're being jerks, but some would say the same about officers who thrust people into the criminal justice system for the same behavior they exhibit when they believe no one(or no one important at least) is watching.
@CFJComo As you can see he was following another officer. They were probably going to a call together and he was reading the details of the call so he can be prepared when he gets there.
@Midwestinthebuilding So do 99.9% of other people at some time or another. THEY just tend to not be videotaped since there is no badge on the side of their car.
I personally wouldn't call it careless and imprudent (same point violation as a DUI--the highest) but it would certainly get you pulled over 100 times out of 100.
